Too bad for Johnson, but hopefully we get fisher/ludwig on the main card now.

Most 170s under contract already have fights lined up. Maybe Pyle or Volkmann could step in?

by rabrown on Feb 14, 2010 1:18 AM EST reply actions

Volkmann please. He could win this fight.

Well

It’s been a bad few days for two fights I was really looking forward to.

Johnson was the interesting half of that fight. Not sure a replacement will save this one, unless it’s an interesting name.

by Miketsi on Feb 14, 2010 1:35 AM EST via mobile reply actions

What a shame

Was really looking forward to this one, not only because it would have looked absolutely ridiculous due to the size and reach difference.

I wonder if Swick will want to take a quick turnaround, Hazelett could also step in maybe Pyle? but there really aren’t too many WW’s left that aren’t already booked.

Johnson needed this fight to erase the disappointing loss to Koscheck (if Johnson wins of course). I still think that Johnson has a lot of upside, and I even feel that he could do well in the Middleweight Division if he decides to go there.

And it begins

First Kampman, then Belfort, now Johnson. Has the curse returned?

I say just scratch Howard and move Irvin/Sakara to the main card. No doubt that is going to be an awesome fight. There are enough good fights on the prelims that Howard/Johnson can be completely scratched without doing any damage to this card really.

When Kampmann and Johnson both heal up, they should fight each other. That would be a barnburner right there.

If the burning barn is a metaphor for Kampmann’s confidence as a striker, collapsing in ruins around him as he gets KO’d in the first, then totally! :)

Depressing.

The Seattle Times linked to my website in June 2009. I wasn't aware of this until January 2010.

Meltzer’s daily update on www.f4wonline.com says UFC newcomer Daniel Roberts is stepping in for Rumble. Fisher vs Bang has been moved to the main card.
