a “broken foot” does not a fighter with depressing cardio make

That was kind of dumb. After al Turk got bumped, why not just say fuck it and take some time to heal?

Keep firing Assholes!

I don't know what I'm talking aboot.

srsly

I bet most anything he’s got a hairline or partial fracture (it’s easy to construe a crack or fracture as a “broken foot”— sounds more dramatic). Antoine Winfield was running up and down the field in the playoffs with a “broken foot”.

And you’re probably more likely to find a full-time training mixed martial artist with a rib injury than without. They’re very common and there’s a wide spectrum of severity.

Rolles just can’t fight. He should face that fact and teach jits (to no-gi black belts).

Isn’t it what you walk and fight standing on?

But this is really a pet peeve of mine – fighters claiming an injury when they suck. They shouldn’t have taken the fight and attempted to rip off the fans if they were injured.

wait…. how did i miss that he got cut?

by davidhamilton83 on Feb 12, 2010 5:45 PM EST reply actions

Shouldn’t have taken the fight then.

So if he was injured while training, and he looked like shit while fighting...

… I’m assuming he probably looked like shit while training too. If that’s the case, he should never have fought.

at this point, i’m keeping my expectations pretty low for renzo’s performance against hughes. obviously they’re two different people, but his willingness to make excuses for rolles makes me think he won’t hesistate to do the same for himself. guess we’ll see.

by woooburn on Feb 12, 2010 7:09 PM EST reply actions

…you know nothing about Renzo do you? Renzo is a natural fighter, Rolles is not. There is no comparison.

Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing.

ha, that’s a pretty big leap there buddy. i would say i’m a fan of renzo, would love to see him beat hughes, and absolutely agree with you on his heart. he’s just been outta the game from a while now, and if he trains with rolles, who went into his fight as unprepared as he did (both physically and mentally), i dont think it’s out of the realm of possibility that renzo could do the same. not talking trash. and i would love to be proven wrong. especially against hughes.

Makes ‘em look worse, don’t it? Just say he had a shit MMA debut, he’s going to work harder and drop it. Every time they keep bringing up his name to make excuses for him, it just makes us all think about that Greg Nagy-quality performance.

I HAD THE FLU!!!

I could have pulled out, but then I wouldn’t be able to take my fan’s money and not give them my best in return!

Oh right,

First it’s one injury, then another, then the flu, then staph, then a mystery injury. GOT IT.
