Chael Sonnen speaks to Fox News. Chael Sonnen is obviously the best thing to happen to MMA in 2010.

Seriously:
Who here can point to evidence that they saw this guy becoming a star, practically overnight? Anyone? God knows I didn’t.
"I'm AJB and I endorse this nut-puncher."
It will take me equally as long to forget him after they peel Silva's knee outta his forehead.

Ok, we all need to get together and rent a giant house in Chael's congressional district
go move there, and vote for him.
Im not saying I saw this coming at all….
But I liked his attitude in WEC.

It doesn’t even matter to me what he’s in favor of. We must get him elected.

Not really. Most state legislatures are not in session throughout the entire year, so there would be some times that he was not able to take fights. Also, the town he lives in is not very far from Salem, so he doesn’t really need to move, he ould train part time when they are in session and then full time when they are not.
He’s a fulltime realtor and trains at night. Seriously, that’s what he calls himself. It’s amazing really. Politics would be fine for him.

they don't even have the fight on the main page of that either.
or any clips of him fighting on search results through their website.
im pretty sure that was a advertising scheme to get people to check them out.
Bloody Elbow wins by unanimous decision.
what's worse is that guy actually worked UFC 1 if you remember.
it took me forever to figure out where I knew this guy from
i tried a couple times. it goes straight to voicemail, which says he’s out of town and asks you not to leave a voicemail unless its urgent, but that you can try texting him. that was a couple days ago tho, so maybe he’s “back in town”

Am I the only person here who would never vote for Chael?
just 'cause you pour syrup on shit, don't make it pancakes
Oh Fox
I love how they softballed him and basically let him ramble for two minutes. I was curious about the “sporting law” he “single-handedly passed” and the Senate subcommitees he’s testified in front of. But then this is Fox News, isn’t it? Follow up questions would mean that he’d have to explain himself!
I guess he just wanted to talk as long as possible and then go home and watch himself on his DVR for the full three minutes.
Get rid of the ramp!
of course MSNBC has never softballed a Democrat.

When did he mention MSNBC?
"Someone is WRONG on the internet. What do you want me to do? LEAVE? Then they'll keep being wrong!"
-Randall Munroe
the funny thing about MSNBC is that they actually have conservative shows, unlike Fox, which does not have the opposition on its roster… In fairness, MSNBC is more legit than Fox.

They used to, but not anymore.
Aside from Morning Joe, which is on too early for anyone to give a rats ass. When they had Joe in Primetime, Tucker Carlson leading off, Chris Matthews as a moderate, and Olbermann for ratings… that was a pretty balanced lineup. As it stands now with Ed whats-his-face, Matthews having a mancrush on Obama, Olbermann, and Maddow… not so impartial. But hey, at least they don’t say that they are “fair and balanced.”

Need a drool bucket too.
The joke is actually on us, they are all crooked.
That is a goofy morning show
and by the time he got to that stuff they were already trying to move on
The law he "single handedly passed"...
was the state sanctioning of mma by the Oregon Athletic Commission. Chael got mma legalized and regulated in Oregon sometime around 2000, and he also runs one of the longest running amateur shows in the country: The Full Contact Fighting Federation.
If MMA title contenders are becoming Republicans...
…couldn’t we have some sort of exchange program?

I will be… When he runs for PRESIDENT! Whoa… thats scary… Then again, it would be nice to have a tough president once in a while… Last one was… Teddy Roosevelt? I dunno, I’m no republican, but he’s a smart guy, you have to give him that.
George H. W. Bush was a pretty tough old bastard. WWII fighter pilot who survived his plane being shot down, captain of his college baseball team, self made millionaire, and director of the CIA.
Say what you will about Dubya, but his old man was a bad ass.
Chael sounds like a good pol. Looks like his fighting is going to generate a lot of free press for him. I’m sure he could have easily discussed his testimony b4 the state senate and the mma legislation that he got passed. I just hope his politcal rivals dont find the videos about him running people out of his neighborhood for wering earrings and pink shirts..
I'm sure a bunch of us recognized him.
I myself did but I can’t stand the way he hosted those first few UFC’s and the sooner I forget about him, the better. ;) Then again, he was a BIG step-up from the burping-in-mid-sentence jabronie who did the bulk of the talking in the first one. Dude knew nothing about any kind of martial art that was on display that day.

At first I really didn’t want to like this guy and I’m not much for hard core republicans, but damn if I can’t help liking him.
