In lieu of a Spike TV prelims special, Dan Miller vs. Joe Doerksen, and Mark Bocek vs. Dustin Hazelett from the UFC 124 preliminary card will be broadcast live on UFC.com for free according to the UFC's official twitter feed:
No prelims on Spike Saturday, so we're giving you an hour of live prelims free at 9/6 on UFC.com/Live - Hazelett/Bocek and Miller/Doerksen

I hope Spike prelims are a feature on every North American UFC card
It is a genius idea (….suggested by a BE member here on a fanpost I did) and I’m so happy the UFC did this.
There’s only been two bad prelim shows and that’s UFC 109 (Guillard/Torres, Danzig/Buchholz) and the truly awful UFC 114 (Sadollah/Stun Gun, Escudero/D. Lauzon).
I suffer from IBS, otherwise known as "Influx of Billick Syndrome".
I think they can only get a certain # of slots a year for prelims. That’s why they’re gonna have to do it on ufc.com sometimes.

Spike seems to live off of UFC programming. More prelims seems like a better idea if anything

Eh … I’m running Ubuntu Studio and Moonlight is doing it for me. Just run a Google search for “silverlight for linux,” should do you good.

Because where I live, SpikeTV airs the prelims at 9 pm Pacific. Really defeats the purpose of having the prelims air on SpikeTV at all.
