Josh Thomson vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri Set For Dynamite!! 2010

A fantastic match up is set for Japan's New Year's Eve event, as the #15 and #8 ranked lightweights, Josh Thomson and Tatsuya Kawajiri are finally set to do battle. The bout was reported to have fallen through during negotiations before, but it seems like Strikeforce and FEG officials have finally agreed on the terms. MMA Fightinghas it:

Josh Thomson vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri has been signed for the Dec. 31 event, MMA Fighting has learned from sources. The bout will take place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

Fighting and Entertainment Group, the parent company of DREAM, is expected to officially announce the fight in the coming days.

Nightmare of Battle has also brought word that despite their initial troubles, Dynamite!! 2010 already has 10 bouts set, which FEG President Tanikawa is expected to announce after the K-1 Grand Prix 2010 Final 8.

Two of these have been reported to be DREAM title fights. A featherweight title fight between Bibiano Fernandes and Hiroyuki Takaya, and the recently reported welterweight championship bout between Marius Zaromskis and Kazushi Sakuraba. Their troubles have been well documented, and they're doing it all on the 12th hour, but it looks like they still might be able to save the show.
