Stefan Struve talks to David St Martin of SBNation.com about UFC 124 opponent Sean McCorkle and his torrents of online trash talk:
"They're not really annoying. I don't pay much attention to it. I've never had a guy trash talk so much before a fight. It's funny, but some of them are kinda 'you know.' I'm 22 and he's like 34 or 35? Maybe even older. (ed. note - he's 37) It should be the other way around. Come on, grow up man. I'm getting a little annoyed but I'll talk to him next week. I don't like him and I'll do my talking with him next week in the octagon. I promise the people in Montreal one hell of a fight."

If it wasn’t for Mccorkle’s trash talking, this fight wouldn’t be co-main event, Struve should thank Cork.
I’d be surprised if Cork can sub Struve, he seems to have a decent guard but then again, not many HWs are good at bbj.
I love Struve and appreciate the “let old people talk shit to you” argument.

never realized how old McCorkle was or how young Struve is.
Regardless, Struve should destroy him.
Struve is really good for how young he is...
He really needs to work his kickboxing though.
A fighter with his range has to avoid letting people inside and he isn’t very good at that yet.
Yep. That’s been one of my biggest complaints over the guy actually. Hopefully he’s been working on that.

Some of his trash talk is pretty good. He kind of jumped the shark though and has really been pumping garbage.
McCorkle is still a hell of a lot wittier than Tomas Rios.
I like Struve, not really sure who to root for in this fight. Should be fun though. Two huge tall dudes who have a combined total of 2 decisions in 34 fights. Struve is really unorthodox for his size and always brings the fight. McCorkle seems like he could be a clobbering machine. Also his age isn’t as much of a factor when he’s only had 10 fights, most of which didn’t last very long.
I think Roy Nelson is right
Give Struve a few years and he’s gonna be a stud. Guys already shown that he knows how to use his length on the ground. He’s shown KO power. If he works hard improving his standup and overrall defence, I bet he can be a good longterm addition to the div
