Strikeforce Results: Robbie Lawler Proves That Southpaws Are Matt Lindland's Kryptonite

Robbie Lawler made quick work of Matt Lindland, scoring a knockout at 50 seconds of round one. Lindland questionably decided to stand with Lawler in the early going, and found himself dropped by a right hook from Lawler. Lindland turned to face Lawler, ate another strike, and went to sleep.

Lindland has met similar results against southpaws in the past. David Terrell knocked out Lindland at UFC 49, while Vitor Belfort had Lindland trying to single-leg a CSAC official at "Affliction: Day of Reckoning" in 2009.

Robbie Lawler last fought in June, when he lost a decision to one-half of tonight's main event, Renato "Babalu" Sobral at a catchweight of 195 pounds. Matt Lindland came back from a submission loss to Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza in his Strikeforce debut to defeat Kevin Casey by TKO in the main event of Strikeforce's Challengers event in his home state of Oregon.
