not suprised.
i wonder if they offered to keep him if he dropped to 145. i think he might have a future at that weight.
Looked too small and soft at 155.
He needs a new weight class and a year or two in smaller shows.

I agree...
with the weight class move. Don’t think the smaller shows will help him. He just needs to beat up a couple of schleps to gain some momentum and confidence.
Honestly, he was a freight train until he got beat terribly by Schultz.
couldn't agree more...
that beating he took from shultz seemed to derail the train…

LOL
I love it when the UFC cuts people who do not perform.

He’s been pretty disappointing ever since he came to the WEC. I feel sorry for him since he seems like a decent guy, but he really doesn’t belong in the UFC and this feels like truly justified cut. Even his two wins against Downes and Ratcliff were far from impressive and he looked very limited and below average in those two fights.
Maybe MFC could give him some fun fights.
"Caol Uno was like Mutoh. He developed into a star overseas and then returned to his home country a much bigger deal. Dokonjonosuke Mishima is like Kobashi because they both do moonsaults. Don Frye is like Stan Hansen because they are both fat dumb rednecks with mustaches." - Jonathan Snowden
Have to agree that he is just not a UFC-caliber fighter, but MFC is a great fit for him actually.
I won't jump off the bandwagon just because you lost.
If Bellator wants to add some name value to an upcoming tournament
they could use him to build up a prospect.

Poor guy
He was on my radio show Sunday and confirmed that he did not want to drop to featherweight. Maybe he’ll reconsider

he said the cut would be too hard, although from the looks of it, I wouldn’t think it should be.

yeah, he doesn't seem THAT drained at the weigh-ins

but more power to him if he wants to work his way back the hard way.
That makes no sense
Even if he doesn’t feel that he would perform any better at FW, at least it could have gotten him in the UFC and given him a chance. LW is a fucking shark tank right now and a lot of guys are either going to be moving down or moving out in the near future. FW is still fairly thin, it’s the kind of division you can get a second chance in.
He was ridiculously overrated since the IFL
I mean, Ryan Schultz burst his hype bubble I thought, but for whatever reason it just won’t pop. He has to drop to FW or he’ll never be beyond average.

So he's going to finish High School now?
Right…?

I still can’t get past the head kick he took while running away, I don’t know if I ever will. That may be the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen in the octagon, right after the Rashad head movement.
They see me rollin...
What if....
What if someone ran up the cage and used the planted foot to launch off the cage and kick their opponent in the face?

personally
i think he could cut to 135 and actually be a contender. i’m curious as to why he doesn’t want to do it.
My first novel is now available in trade paperback. Take a look: http://tinyurl.com/2ag7njo
When I first got into MMA, the IFL bombardment on FSN and MyNetworkTV was my fix between big UFC cards...
Seeing a guy barely a year older than me constantly winning against experience MMA fighters and go undefeated (up til the Ryan Schultz fight) made me believe that he was going to control the world at one point.
Then I got smarter. Or the opposition he fought got better. Whichever came first.
I don’t know why he wouldn’t want to cut down to FW.

Bad move
He out struck cerrone I think he could’ve improved
I’m not resting until I’m officially Anderson Silva status.- Jon "Bones" Jones
Then got absolutely awful advice to take cerrone down, where he had showcased a threatening guard already
