More like ’00. That shit came out when I was in high school, maybe junior high.

Yea,
I went back and thought about it. I was in High School too when this came out. So this was at least ‘02-’03ish. Weak Sauce. Just hire the team at AllElbows.com or poach the guys from DREAM and be done with it.

I loved that commercial. And the subsequent spoof of it in Scary Movie 2

The moment
The frame where that video is paused is comedy gold. BJ looks like one of the three stooges getting a frying pan to the face.

Other than the main event
I’m really looking forward to this card

i agree i think this could turn out to a great card built up around a potentially boring main event. but i’m certainly excited for it. and i enjoyed this promo more than most

True; less meathead… but jumping over to this beat-laden, soul-less stuff just leaves me a lil empty. It shouldn’t be to hard to inject a little, real emotion into these promos. OK… I’m like 5 beers in, so maybe I’m taking this a little too seriously.
But really; THIS should be the bar to which most should follow:

What’s wrong with meathead? (Washes meat down with protein shake while listening to metal)

Great concept, great editing, very catchy...
but the execution became a little too repetitive near the end and corny with the MGM grand sequence.

Great
They are really stepping their game up and getting away from the same stuff. Mixing it up a little bit can be great.

The positive response to this is really just proof of how terrible the promos normally are.
This is a half decade old ad concept getting dug up again by the UFC. Not revisited, just regurgitated. And it’s still so much better than the standard ones.

Its an entire decade

Who knew their concepts could be regurgitated and still be pretty good?

sure it got kinda annoying but when joe rogan dubbed over paris hilton saying “oh my god” that shit was funny
Warning: PRIDE goggles in use
VARIETY!
This is a welcome change from the standard – great bits of comedy, bang bang bang highlights that actually mention pretty much everyone on the main card… Keep on keeping on with these.
Seriously, when’s the last time you saw a promo that had DH Kim, Davis, Stann, the Diaz double Stockton, Guida burp, T Silva leg kicks… I am very much a fan of this.

Nice to see them breaking away from the usual trash that gets put out. I liked it, bar the zoom out to the pumping arena which was just a bit meh

Change!!
I liked the burp, the Paris Hilton “OMG”, and the ass :D
Now please..
Pretty please..

Variety's fine, but that was still lame
I guess I’m the only one lame enough to think of Scary Movie first (before even remembering what was being spoofed). With David Cross in a wheelchair spinning on his head.
First time I've ever seen a PPV title fight advertised
with no mention of the title fight. Wow. I guess the UFC is offically on board the “No one gives a fuck aout Frankie” bandwagon now too. That’s too bad coming from the guys who decide who we give a fuck about.
I'm Dutch-Irish. My Father was from Wales.
So amazing
That people ALWAYS whine about something. This was great, the only reason anyone would say “terrible” or “lame, this sucks” is because they’re(you’re) such upthight *******.
If it wouldn’t have been a new concept you’d whine about that.

The Guida burp made my day
this is a welcome change from the norm

I liked it
I understand alot of people didn’t like it, but don’t we always bitch about how the UFC advertising needs to change?
