This reminds me of Danzig/Stevenson.
Not some huge or mindblowing fight, but probably still a good scrap.
So am I the only one the is.......
Completely and utterly confused about the layout and venues of UFC on Versus 3/UFC 128/UFC129? Which event is which and where are they all taking place? Someone anyone who knows something please explain.

I could be wrong but...
UFC on Versus 3 is Kampmann/Thiago headlined on March 3 with no location yet, UFC 128 is in Abu Dhabi on the 12th with no headliner that I’m aware of, and UFC 129 is Shogun/Rashad in Newark on the 19th.
Yeah that is what I thought
But I also read that Abu Dhabi was a failed attempt that early into 2011 because they couldn’t secure a location there making the Newark card UFC 128. I don’t know necessarily either I am confused as shit and seeking any rumors/confirmations. Anyone else heard anything different? The same?

Abu Dhabi is scrapped
UFC on Versus 3 is Kampmann/Sanchez as the headliner.
UFC 129 could very well become UFC 128.

Got ya
I wonder why people keep calling the Newark event UFC 129 if it going to be 128. Could it be possible that UFC on Versus 3 is in fact UFC 128 and they are going to do away with the whole UFC on Versus title because of the UFC/WEC merger? Also there isn’t a location or venue yet for UFC on Versus 3 correct?
Again thank you to anyone and everyone for their input….sorry if I am asking stupid questions just a bit confused.

It's a confirmed Versus card
But the plan was to have Abu Dhabi on the 12th and then a few other events lead to 131 in Toronto.
Unless they plan one of their Spike shows like a UFC event in London the week before the Toronto show they might have to do reshuffling.
Sanchez/Kampmann will be on Versus but it has not been confirmed if they’ll stick with 129 for Newark or just decide to move the numbers back.

Now that news has broken
I can give a 100% guarantee that on March 19, there will be a UFC PPV featuring Shogun Rua vs. Rashad Evans as the headliner in New Jersey. And I never guarantee anything in MMA.

Ugh, fair enough.
Shogun has looked great lately though. His knee is strong and he’s been doing solid work on conditioning, BJJ, and muay thai. All I’ve seen from Rashad so far is that he’s staying in shape and in the gym. I expect a good fight and yet another Shogun TKO.

Rashad has gassed twice in 3 round fights
He better get that conditioning up if it goes 5. I don’t expect it to however. WAR SHOGUN!

Tibau at LW is pointless
He is built and should be getting outclassed by anyone 2nd tier at 170 instead of at 155.

Both of these fighters are generally in the same place as far as the rankings are concerned. When both have faced top-tier Lightweights (at the time that their opponents were near the top like Joe Stevenson), they have both failed. Honestly, I have to go with Tibau just because he is much bigger than Pellegrino, otherwise, I think that they cancel each other out in just about every department.

He should be able to win that fight, and he’d better, as it’s in his home state!!!

Tibau is one of my least favorite fighters
His takedowns are great, but he can’t hold anyone there. I remember his fight against Josh Neer, sure Tibau executed like 20 takedowns, but Neer was on his feet and punching him in the face within seconds after each one. That fight was a perfect example of how takedowns shouldn’t be scored in certain instances.
I like this fight
Pellegrino should win this. Both lose to top comp, but Pellegrino loses to topper comp
