Was he under 265?

I really hope he gets back in the UFC. I want him against Lesnar.

Brock would touch him and get the takedown. Sylvia is fighting Pedro Rizzo next. That will be a slight step up in competition.

Sylvia vs. Lucero was at super heavyweight

The Rizzo fight is not set in stone actually.

That be a perfect fight to see where Lesnar is at.

I would also like for SF to pick him up and either feed him to the top guys, or give him to one of the developing guys to see how they are doing.

I think the UFC needs him more at this point though.

I was actually thinking about stefan struve vs. sylvia last night. I think that would be an entertaining battle.

by chunkyass on Dec 13, 2010 2:04 AM EST up reply actions

Struve is too low down the ladder.

And Tim is a big puncher…Im pretty sure Sylvia would end that pretty convincingly.
A guy like Mir, Roy or even Schaub would be intriguing. Or maybe even Lesnar too.

by Menime on Dec 14, 2010 12:31 AM EST up reply actions

Since his loss to Mercer, Sylvia is 4-0 with 4 finishes. A KO, a TKO, and two subs to strikes (so basically two more TKOs).

Jason Riley- 6-1 before Sylvia, 3-2 after (loss to Daniel Cormier in his last fight)
Mariusz Pudzianowski- 2-0 before Sylvia, 1-0 after
Paul Buentello- 28-12 before Sylvia, 1-0 after
Vince Lucero- 19-18 before

Sylvia would look so much more attractive to major orgs if it wasn’t for that Mercer loss. But if he keeps piling up those wins, its going to be tough to ignore him, especially if he beats Pedro Rizzo in February. He can be a good test for others.

That was quietly done by Sylvia. I had no idea.

Not that I condone facism or any ism for that matter. Isms are in my opinion, not good. A person shouldn't believe in an ism, he should believe in himself.

I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me". Good point there, after all he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. Wouldn't change the fact I have to bum rides off of people.

I just uploaded Tim’s fight to youtube. Someone make a fanshot and give me props. My computer is shot. I was working Tim’s corner so u can here us shouting to him and the quality isn’t the best. Video starts about 10 seconds into the match. Enjoy :-)

You and me may be the last Tim believers on BE.

He’s a tough motherfucker with power in both hands and tons of reach. He should kill guys like Struve and McCorckle. Should be back in the UFC again.

He is gaining interest for sure.

I wish I could talk about all that I know but I just can’t. This guy that Tim fought took the fight on short notice. I commend him for being a man and getting in there. We talked to Vince after the fight and he hurt his knee very badly. I wish him the best and respect the hell outta him. Look for a big announcement from Sylvia coming in the next few months. ;-)

Stoked for it.

Always like seeing guys on the comeback trail, and Tim’s only BAD loss is Mercer. Who is one of the heaviest punchers to ever live. No shame in losing to Fedor and Nog. I wish him the best, and hope he’s doing well.

Thanks man.

He got a great reception from the crowd. Unfortunately the blizzard hit the day of the fights and the crowd turnout was minimal. Good to see Travis win also. He is a great guy too.

Yeah...

I don’t think the UFC is the next step tho. He is having trouble getting guys to fight him. A few big name opponents turned down the chance to fight him at this event too. Can’t speak names but, very suprising.

Last two? What the hell dude? I might not be as big as booster as some but I always he’s a legit top HW. Shit, who’s always writing him and Arlovski’s defense pieces against those that disparage them because they left their favorite acronym?

As for Sylvia’s next thing, can I take a guess ANance? If it’s not the UFC, is there any chance it’s the SF HW tourney?

When it comes to matters of opinion on BE

you and I may as well count as one entity. If I wasn’t me, I’d assume that we’re one person who created dummy accounts to agree with each other. I almost want a mod to check IPs to confirm that this isn’t some Fight Club shit.

I think Timmy will be back in UFC with one or two more wins. He still has some name recognition so he could come in and fight guys like Lesnar, Carwin, Nelson, or even some of the prospects like Schaub, or Struve.

Get really pissed just seeing Tim Sylvia? Something about him makes me rage.
