Satoshi Ishii (top) earned a technical submission win over Katsuyori Shibata in their MMA contest at the K-1 World MAX 2010 Final in Tokyo on Monday. Ishii scored an early takedown, flattened Shibata out, and wrenched a kimura from knee-on-belly position which forced referee Yuji Shimada to call a halt to the bout at 3:30 of the first round. Ishii improved to 3-1 with three straight wins since dropping his debut to Hidehiko Yoshida last New Year's Eve.

A knee on belly kimura?
That’s gotta be pretty rare, no? I mean I’m no Rickson but I would think itd be tough to hit the kimura from that position.

Record
Sure, Shibata has fought the likes of Akiyama, Miller, Sakuraba, and even a Gracie…but his record is 4-10-1……shouldn’t Ishii be going against better opponents?
I'm from Canada, and they think I'm slow eh!
Truthfully
After his 1st outting. These are the fights that he needs to build his confidence. 2 more Low-Level guys and then give him someone decent.

Unintelligent Defense, I bring Cricket bats to fist fights.
The size difference is a bit much though
Can’t they at least find a larger pro wrestler for him to dummy
Fight Opinion
Just tweeted an article saying that Ishii doesn’t want to fight at Dream’s New Years Eve event but plans to fight Tito Ortiz in America.
Does he plan to or does he want to?
Because he tends to talk about wanting random fights all the time.
