TUF 12 Quarterfinals: Michael Johnson Talks Bruce Leroy

"(Alex "Bruce Leroy" Caceres) had been nagging me in the house, getting on my nerves. I didn't really like the way he acted in the house, I didn't like his work ethic, I didn't like how he'd claim he was hurt, I didn't like how he'd just be lying around while we were working out. I don't appreciate that."-- Check out the full interview with Michael Johnson at MMA Fighting.
"It was more on the not liking him side, but it was also strategic on my part, thinking I matched up with him well, had superior wrestling and could control him. I thought he was the weakest link left in the competition at that point. It was all about getting to the Finale and that was my game plan. It kind of worked out that the guy I thought I could beat was also the guy I didn't like."
UFC President Dana White announces the four quarterfinal matchups, but one matchup in particular has Josh Koscheck upset. Bruce Leroy and Michael Johnson are fine with it, though.
Quarterfinal-round matches:
Team GSP's Jonathan Brookins vs. Team Koscheck's Sako Chivitchian

Team GSP's Kody McKenzie vs. Team Koscheck's Nam Phan

Team GSP's Kyle Watson vs. Team Koscheck's Aaron Wilkinson

Team GSP's Michael Johnson vs. Team GSP's Alex Caceres

Pleasantly surprised and impressed with this season of TUF
And am genuinely excited about the quarterfinal matchups, especially next weeks Brookins vs. Sako and Kody vs. Nam.
@spudsucker
twitter. bitches.
Best season in a long time. I have Brookins winning the whole thing.

complete agreement.
"Hey, sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know 'cause I wouldn't eat the filthy motherf**ker" - Jules Winnfield
"A good word that I got from the Mike Tyson Documentary... I'm going to absolutley decimate this motherf**ker, I haven't been in the dictionary to see what it actually means but I'm guessing it's going to be something in the way of just killing a motherf**ker." -Paul Daley (on the definition of Decimate)
With the addition of the 145 and 135 lb divisions, it looks like someone who is a natural Featherweight like Nam Phan and others in this TUF season can cut down and still fight in the UFC. It would not be unusual for the UFC to keep some of the talent of this season, and it looks like a good amount of the fighters this season are natural 145ers.

I hope Mike kicks Bruce Leroys ass. I grew up with Mike and he’s a good guy.
I'm gonna give you three seconds; exactly three-fucking-seconds to wipe that stupid looking grin off your face or I will gouge out your eyeballs and skull-fuck you!
I hope Leroy kicks Mikes ass.
I grew up with Leroy and he’s a good person.

I grew with neither, and have no idea if they are good people.

Is it just me
or does Wilkinson look he’s about to cry 100% of the time. His face annoys me.

IMO
Brooks > Nam Phan
Mike Johnson > Aaron Wilkinson
Brooks > Mike J in the finals.
It’s been a great season, looking forward to these fights.
I hope Michael kicked the shit out of Alex.
nothing really new to add, I’m from the same city as Michael Johnson and have actually been to the gym he trains at a couple of times but don’t know the guy at all…regardless Alex is of the most annoying guys on the show and needs a beating.
"The big message coming out of this is that we can never give up, it doesn’t matter the size of the problem, it doesn’t matter the difficulty [of the situation], we can never give up." - Anderson Silva

I hope Alex kicked the crap outta Michael.
Nothing really new to add, I googled the City and Gym that Alex trains from and have actually seen pictures of it online but I don’t know the guy at all… regardless Michael isn’t one of the most annoying guys on the show so he needs a beating to make him interesting.

![Demian Maia, speaking to MMA Junkie following the TUF 12 Finale, compliments Kendall Grove on his BJJ defense:
"I'm happy because I won, of course," Maia said. "I wanted to submit him in this fight, but Kendall was smart. At one point I was baiting him to go to the side when I was on his back because I wanted to switch to the arm-and-neck submission.
"He didn't go even though his corner was saying, 'Go to the side, go to the side. Escape your hips.' He was not escaping, and I was like, '[Expletive]!' After the fight, he said to me, 'You wanted me escape my hips to that side so you could switch to that submission.' I said, 'Yeah, you're smart.'"](http://cdn2.sbnation.com/fan_shot_images/164139/demian-maia-kendall-grove-1009-ufc-tuf-12_small.jpg)
