Alexandre "Cacareco" Ferreira will get another shot in the UFC following his TKO loss to Vladimir Matyushenko at UFC 122, although UFC officials have suggested to his trainers that he cut down to middleweight for his next fight, as Tatame reports.

Cacareco gets to stick around after being blown out of the water in the first round by Vladdy……..but Gerald Harris gets cut after going 3-1 in the promotion.
Yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense.

I know what you mean, but since most fans didn’t see it because it wasn’t shown on tv, he gets a pass. Harris should have just tapped out to the RNC. Also, they may announce it in the near future, but I am surprised that Kris McCray hasn’t been cut (unless I missed that bit of news somewhere).

he was called in to fight with 1 month of notice
and hand’t fight nor trained hard for a year, I’m glad he’s getting another shot, though I don’t agree with Harris getting cut either.

It's almost like their circumstances were different or something.

Cacareco was a replacement for the injured Jason Brilz.
Long-time veterans of the sport who fill in on short notice are usually much higher up the pecking order than young prospects who have a full training camp, when both individuals get their asses kicked.

Having a full training camp and a spot on the main card but forgetting to fight gets you kicked out, but taking a fight on a month’s notice and at least attempting offense and you get to stay.
Good analogy, OXYGENgone.

Man
I’m really looking forward to the “Bring Back Gerald” t-shirts BE members will soon be selling to raise money for the guy. I mean, my God. You’d think he was cut for failing to sing the national anthem loud enough.

Call me now for a free reading. Lord have mercy.

I must be psychic. The second I read the article and I just somehow knew gerald harris name would be mentioned in the comment section. Give it a fuckin rest already guys. I know im not the only who’s tired of reading that shit in every other thread/fanpost.
How did this turn into a gerald harris cry fest. You guys should write some letters to The View.....
Seriously though, I dunno if cacareco can make 185, dude might be 5’ 7" but he’s built like a tree trunk.
So far the new wave of chute boxe is not impressing me too much. Falcao will be a force when he lets his hands fly, but i’m not sure what cacareco would look like when cutting to MW. And vinicius spartan needs to work really hard on his cardio before he gets another chance in the UFC, he was gasping for air after 2 minutes.
