Fat Face

I don’t know if I am looking too much into this topic. But it seems Rampage has steadily put on weight over the years, I notice it in his face. In a 2007 fan expo picture he looks lean with a clear jaw line. Now it seems he is depressed, cutting weight is an issue for him, and his cheeks seem puffy and he seems more lethargic.

Anyone else?

His clinch knees in his recent training vids look almost Mark Coleman-slow. Certainly not as fast as in his Pride days.

Dunno what Dana was thinking putting Page against Lyoto. Maybe it was supposed to motivate Page, but all it did push him down further.

Or maybe it’s all a ruse and Rampage is actually crazy fast and motivated.

First one

I’m going with elderly Mark Coleman slow.

Sigh, its depressing seeing fighters become shadows of their former self. BJ and Rampage pick it up….or I’m talking about you guys!

Wait, Hughes is 37 and he is the only headliner coming into this fight off of a win? Weird!

I'm from Canada, and they think I'm slow eh!

Look at the difference in appearance vs PRIDE time

Of Rampage, Nog & Cro Cop too…Wandy and maybe Shogun as well, albeit for different reasons…then there is the Reem…

Being realistic, and no disrespect to any Pride era fighter, but how many of those guys were on some kind of “supplement”? 80-90%? All of them?

The more you drive, the less intelligent you are.

Yes

I’m not saying those guys were full-time juice monkeys, but I have no doubt that they used steroids to rehab an injury here and there. They would have been foolish not to. Steroids were perfectly legal in Pride and they are incredibly effective at healing soft-tissue injuries. Not every steroid user looks like a bodybuilder.

I honestly don't know

But if it wasn’t officially against the rules then, by definition, it was not cheating.

I don’t get too worked up about the PED issue, because from where I stand, I am of the opinion that a significant majority use PEDs or doping of some variety, whether to increase size, strength or endurance…its just a part of sports at the highest levels.

As long as they both lose.

If so, I laugh at that.

Such a stacked card

I’m looking forward to G-Sot/J-Lau the most, even more than the main event.
