when it comes to the Android platform let me know
i had an iphone for awhile, and have since upgraded.
My first novel is now available in trade paperback. Take a look: http://tinyurl.com/2ag7njo
Well you should go ahead and reupgrade to the iphone4.
My brother has an android and was raving about how it blows the iphone out of the water. Then he played with my iphone 4 for about 5 minutes and said “fuck, I gotta get rid of this thing”.

iphone is for the common people
Some of us are tech savy and want more from our phones. Apple has built its brand on advancing technology by dumbing it down. Not for me.
Understandable.
It happened when he was trying to show me this video game on the android where you flick a slingshot to knock down buildings. It looked like a nintendo game. So I showed him Madden ’11 on the iphone and he went nuts.

to each his own
but I like playing my Playstation 1, NES, SNES and Sega games on my android vs games made strictly for cell phones
and void the warranty?
can it play Playstation 1 games?
ha
void the warranty.. where we’re going we don’t need a warranty.
seriously tho.. I waited a few years for the smartphone market to calm down.. waited for Android.. hemmed and hawed over the 3gs vs the droid.. then the onslaught of droid phones came. Everything was better than the next… yet they all were the same .. with different "themes"available.
You know what.. when I saw that .. I decided right then and there “i’m going Mac on this one”
why? because Apple picks the hardware for a device (they pick decent stuff not cheap crap and sell it a little bit over priced).. but when operating system has just one device or series to be programed for.. it makes for a easier to fix, less problematic experience for the end user. compared to say a operating system like windows and what I’m sure will be the fate of android.. lots of hardware combinations from lots of vendors.. and they have to make it all work for everybody. honestly ill pay more to have gear with less down time.
and power features? Isn’t the ultimate power feature having a pc or smartphone that works almost 100% of the time?
Ps1 man i would be playing tony 1 or 2 on that bad boy
Hey buddy I have Streets of Rage and Sonic on mine too!

I know I know, but
it’s still limited, I literally have every SNES, GNES, NES game on my Android right now not to mention I’m playing through Resident Evil 2.
Iphone is “easier” to use and looks cooler. I’ll give you that.
What is all this shit.
All I need from my smart phone is Phone calls, Bloody Elbow and Porn.

HOW is this not green yet?
Hey look, mister - we serve hard drinks in here for men who want to get drunk fast, and we don't need any characters around to give the joint "atmosphere".
A video I made of my old Droid when I bought it.

You know all the most popular iPhone games are coming out for Android, right? Bigger screens and faster processors have their advantages.

Open system vs closed system. Both has their advantages and disadvantages. Go somewhere else and discuss.

The quality of “green” comments on this site has gone down in the past couple months. Used to be something insightful or a a sharp comment or a funny and appropriate gif. Now it’s mostly smarmy comments.

Really?
Aren’t we discussing a cell phone video game that isn’t available on a particular phone???
Maybe I’m taking this too personally?
by Brandon Starr on Nov 19, 2010 1:44 PM EST up reply actions
Don't take it personally
The guy made a comment in the same vain as your comments, he just wants the recs and the last word
'an android' isn't really correct
Android is a platform, not a phone.
iPhone has a prettier UI and had better dev support, but Android devices have picked up so much this year that the tide is completely turning.

i tried the iphone 4 and the droid incredible and Droid X
Droid X is an amazing machine, but too bulky.
iphone 4 is a nice piece of machinery that doesn’t do one of its basic functions very well (actually, you know, make phone calls). it doesn’t matter whether that’s due to the inherent design flaw or the shitty AT&T network.
the Incredible does a ton of stuff, shoots “hi def” video and has a great camera … and it makes phone calls. also, i really wouldn’t have believed this, but Verizon’s network is so much faster than AT&T’s network it is ridiculous. the iphone would have to fellate me daily at this point for me to go back.

I'd like to know too.
Are there any reviews up from anybody? All I see are UFC fighters pimping this game on their Twitters.
I just did – its pretty fun and about what you can expect from an iPhone game.
I also just KO’d Wanderlei with a leg kick and he went down like he just got hit with a haymaker on the jaw
"You should work for 15 minutes to knock your opponent out, submit him, or improve your position to give yourself the best chance of doing either." - Dan Hardy
Too simplistic and easy
My awesome wife got it for me last night. It is way overpriced considering it is basically an advertisement for ufc. After about an hour I made some amusing matchups and won the belt in every weightclass and I’m not that good at videogames. Also every character seems to use the same moves, making it repetitive. I don’t see it getting much more play time.

Even if it sucks
I don’t see how I can not buy this for 7 bucks.

My thoughts exactly.
Maybe I will post a review later.
No, I probably won’t. To be honest….

7 bucks is steep, no?
you can find a used copy of EA MMA on fleabay for about $20
That's what the UFC is hoping you and 100000 others say.
