UFC 122 Results: Dennis Siver Finishes Andre Winner

Stay connected for news and updates

Dennis Siver put on a show for the German fans, staggering Andre Winner with a punch and then finished him with a choke that forced Winner to tap in the first round.

They came out trading in the first. Both men landed kicks but Siver was missing early with his punches due to his shorter range. Winner landed a hard high kick, left punch combination but Siver stayed in the pocked and countered. He shot for a single leg but settled for landing some punches on the break when Winner sprawled. Siver pawed with his left and then landed when Winner moved in. Siver dropped Winner with a left hook and followed up with a blitz of ground and pound, then took Winner's back and fought for a choke that finished Winner.

German Dennis Siver entered UFC 122 with a 4-1 record in his current stint with the promotion. Sivers' wins over Spencer Fisher, Paul Kelly, Dale Hartt, and Nate Mohr are balanced by a decision loss to Ross Pearson. Brit Andre Winner brought a 2-1 UFC record to the fight with wins over Rolando Delgado and Rafaello Oliveira and a loss to Nik Lentz.

As a courtesy to our American readers who may be waiting to watch the fights tape delayed on Spike TV, we will be posting the full results after the jump.
