Tyron Woodley barely broke a sweat in beating grappling wizard André Galvão at Strikeforce: Diaz vs Noons 2, getting a TKO stoppage at 1:48 of the first round.
Afterwards Woodley called for an immediate title shot against the winner of tonight's Strikeforce Welterweight Title fight between Nick Diaz and K.J. Noons.
Galvao shot in early and often and Woodley sprawled every time and every time, Woodley scored with hard right hands to Galvao's face. The Brazilian staggered when he stood up after that first exchange and never recovered. He shot three times in the round, taking more damage each time.
Galvao, a multi-time world jiu jitsu champion and Woodley both came in to the fight as highly touted prospects.
