10 What If Questions for Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Noons 2

In the spirit of getting hyped for Strikeforce tomorrow, I've decided to put some questions that have been bubbling in my head to pen and paper (or keyboard and screen, as it were).  Fire away with your answers to the questions.

Star-divide

Strikeforce_noons_diaz_2_poster_medium

1. If Sarah Kaufman defeats Marloes Coenen, does she become the top female fighter in the world?

2. If Noons defeats Diaz, what's the next fight for Nick?

3. If Diaz defeats Noons, should KJ's next fight be against the Thomson/JZ winner?

4. If Diaz defeats Noons, who will his next challenger be?

5. How many more fights will the Galvao/Woodley winner have before a title shot?

6. If Sarah has another dramatic finish win, should Strikeforce pull the trigger on a Cyborg-Kaufman superfight?

7. Should the loser of Noons/Diaz fight at 170 or 155 in the future?

8. If Sarah loses, regardless of how, should she be granted an automatic rematch?

9. Do you want to see another Thomson/Melendez fight?

10. Loser of Woodley/Galvao vs. Zaromskis, yay or nay?

BONUS!

If Diaz defeats Noons, where does he rank on your Welterweight rankings?

1. No. Mega Mu still holds it,
2. Cyborg Santos.
3. I was thinking Thomson/JZ loser or Billy Evangelista who he wad supposed to fight last year.
4. Daley if he beats Smith or Cyborg Santos. KJ vs Melendez if KJ wins.
5. 2
6. Only if she beats Meisha Tate
7. Noons yes, Diaz no.
8. No. Tate is next.
9. Yes.
10. Yay.

Here we go

1. If Sarah Kaufman defeats Marloes Coenen, does she become the top female fighter in the world?

Fujii has that spot in my book, but she’s already up near the top, and would remain so.

2. If Noons defeats Diaz, what’s the next fight for Nick?

Not sure…

3. If Diaz defeats Noons, should KJ’s next fight be against the Thomson/JZ winner?

Sounds like a good official #1 contender match to me…Noons losing at 170 shouldn’t really hurt his standing at 155

4. If Diaz defeats Noons, who will his next challenger be?

Santos? Winner of Daley-Scott Smith?

5. How many more fights will the Galvao/Woodley winner have before a title shot?

1 or 2, depending on how impressive they look I guess

6. If Sarah has another dramatic finish win, should Strikeforce pull the trigger on a Cyborg-Kaufman superfight?

Like the above, if she beats Tate again, then yes

7. Should the loser of Noons/Diaz fight at 170 or 155 in the future?

Again, ditto the guy above, Noons yes, Diaz no

8. If Sarah loses, regardless of how, should she be granted an automatic rematch?

Nope, Tate

9. Do you want to see another Thomson/Melendez fight?

Yes, I’m a huge fan of rubber matches

10. Loser of Woodley/Galvao vs. Zaromskis, yay or nay?

Nay, Zaromskis should win a fight or two back in DREAM, maybe defend his DREAM title before he fights in the States again.

For my #7 answer

Diaz should stay at 170 win or lose, and Noons should go back to 155 if he loses.

1.No, unless she totally blasts Coenen.I just think Cyborg is the queen of MMA right now.
Fujii is the more skilled fighter though.

2.Rematch with Riggs

3.No,Billy Evangelista

4.Most likely Daley, unless Smith pulls one out of his ass again

5.1 or 2

6.strike the iron while it’s hot.
Would be a little unfair for Miesha though, who was promised the shot in july.

7.Diaz should never fight at 155 again.Noons should go back

8.No,Miesha gets the next shot (potential robbery in the Kaufman/Coenen fight aside)

9.Yes, if Josh wins

10.yay

Bonus: I’d rank him at 7 at WW.

I want to change my answer to #2 to Riggs as well. How did I forget him?

@ #1

Cyborg is the queen of beating up cans. Kaufman is higher on the P4P list.

Coenen is a can?

If you don't like the effect, don't produce the cause.
