Dammit does anyone know the actual Spike broadcast time?

I’ve seen 9 PM, the Comcast guide says 8 PM, and now I’m reading 10 PM.

I’m so confused.

Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.

Also, appalling song aside

That’s a damn good fan made trailer.

Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.

Really?

That song kind of fit the British nature of the card, if you ask me.

I like Fedor, it’s just his fans that are intolerable...and his management.

That was the best trailer I’ve ever seen, as far as editing and music selection goes. For me, it matches the fun/exciting/violent/fast nature of the sport. The Numetal thing I’ve always found such a turnoff.

But the Ramones are about as American as they get though. Their punk rock basically defined the American punk scene.

by Dooda on Oct 9, 2010 2:54 PM EDT up reply actions

It did, however punk has a very British tie in, historically.

I would have considered a Clash song, personally, however this fit nicely.

Oh, and I agree the Numetal should be shown the door.

I like Fedor, it’s just his fans that are intolerable...and his management.

It’s funny, were it the Sex Pistols, it would be damned British, but it was the Ramones which makes it American (to me). However they’d sound really similar.

It's 8 PM PT

They’re tape delaying the tape delay.

Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.

throw some cheap numetal over that trailer and turn the white background/red writing to black background / white writing and it would be UFC-rific.

Has Sexyama always had that stereotypical asian stache?

Thanks for the tip…

The fact that you did not get that Pulp Fiction reference has left me with no choice but to lose all respect for you, Chicken.

The appropriate response would have been

“Here? It’s a coffee shop.”

That was so baller.

The UFC made 120 trailer was also very baller. Tough to call which one was better.

they’re always posting “real” (but fake) “fan” postings on message boards

There’s no way that’s a fanmade trailer. UFC or Spike are behind it.

hey did anyone see Diego Sanchez get knee'd in the face!

Awesome. I will replay that in my mind. For the rest of my life.
If i ever feel bad. I will just remember Diego getting knee’d in the face. It warms my soul.

I do the same thing!

Only with Noons knee to Diaz’s face, and everything else he did to Diaz’s face in that first fight. It was single-handedly the best thing from EXC.

Fantastic video!

I think that was one of, if not THE best fight trailers (fan-made or not) that I’ve ever seen. Judy is a Punk was a great choice for the music, too! Very slick.

by Atomic Salmon on Oct 9, 2010 12:41 PM EDT reply actions

Well. The music was terribly bad, I’ve never liked punk rock, but other than that the trailer was pretty good.

by Horselover Fat on Oct 9, 2010 1:18 PM EDT reply actions

Someone should tell this guy that it’s really bad form to not like The Ramones. It’s one of those things that, whether or not you actually like the music, you just don’t say it about Ramones. It’s really really uncool. haha!

Such a breath of fresh air to not hear numetal.

by Dooda on Oct 9, 2010 2:56 PM EDT up reply actions

I see, didn’t know that was the Ramones. Not that it changes my opinion, it still sounds like shit to me, sorry. Punk rock is just a big no-no for me.. even back in the day when I listened to extreme metal and stuff, I did listen to some more hardcore kind of punk and grindcore, but ordinary punk and punk rock (or straight up rock for that matter) just never sounded good to me. It’s just something about that particular genre that turns me off real bad.

by Horselover Fat on Oct 9, 2010 3:43 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah I hear you. I was being more cheeky than anything.

But it is funny, you almost never hear people hating on the Ramones. And they were the pioneers for a lot of the harder stuff that branched into metal. Them, the Misfits, and maybe the New York Dolls. There’d be no metallica if it weren’t for The Ramones.

by Dooda on Oct 9, 2010 10:47 PM EDT up reply actions

Also disagree.

I like some punk and I think this gets bonus points just for not being Numetal.

by Rufford on Oct 9, 2010 2:50 PM EDT up reply actions

Agreed.. Although it’s funny how most casual American MMA viewers are so used to the numetal that when I try to get them to watch DREAM they usually hate all the different music that gets played.

by Polyhedron on Oct 9, 2010 3:29 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions

That’s a valid point, I don’t like nu-metal either, so I’m all for using different types of music. Just this particular song and genre is not my cup of tea.

by Horselover Fat on Oct 9, 2010 3:51 PM EDT up reply actions

Even if you don't personally like The Ramones...

you have to respect them because of the astronomical number of other artists that they influenced, which is their real legacy in music.

Some groups/artists are like that, their influence on the development of other artists will always far, far outstrip their actual impact of simple music fans.

I like Fedor, it’s just his fans that are intolerable...and his management.

by Razreshat on Oct 9, 2010 6:43 PM EDT up reply actions

If I ever meet Goldberg I’m going to bring up that dance midway through the conversation.

by Rufford on Oct 9, 2010 2:49 PM EDT reply actions   1 recs

That is the part that really, really sold me on the video.
