Diaz is fucked.
Not as fucked as he would have been against Alves, but fucked just the same. Stun Gun via exciting decision.
PS Kim should have gotten the decision vs Karo regardless

how is he fucked? this is an awesome matchup. both guys have a bunch of ways to win. yes, Nate is susceptible to the takedown, but he’s no slouch off his back.
i’m fine with picking Kim to win a fun decision, but in no way is Diaz fucked

He is a slouch when someone is on his back, and Kim just placed reservations. Beating Marcus Davis <<<< beating the Stun Gun.

of course Stun Gun is a much tougher matchup than Davis, and he definitely won’t stand there and subject himself to a Diaz jabfest.
essentialy Pre-fight my thoughts:
vs. Davis: gonna get boxed up and sliced up by Diaz no doubt.
vs. Kim: even match

I had Davis winning because Diaz did exactly what I thought he would – try boxing and get caught early. Marcus just couldn’t finish.
Diaz is going to end up on his head at some point in this fight.

wow, you thought Diaz, who’s never been finished due to strikes, would get finished by an aging Marcus Davis who, for all the talk of his boxing, never finished anyone of note due to strikes?
man, you’re better at talking about the business side of this hurr fight game.

I’m a huge Davis fan and I was suprised so many people thought Diaz was gonna win. But shit he had nothing on Diaz. I guess Dan Hardy and Ben Saunders really did steal his soul

i’m surprised so many people thought Davis would win; Diaz was the favorite, so it shouldnt be a surprise more people thought he would win. . an aging one-dimensional bruiser vs. an ever-improving 2-dimensional 24 year old wily scrapper.
Hardy and Saunders didn’t steal his soul, he just was never as good as Nate Diaz, hadn’t fought and beaten as good of competition as Diaz. Shit the only real good win he had was Chris Lytle, who decided that was one of the fights where he wouldn’t use his black-belt grappling skills.
every goddamn thing leading into that fight pointed to Diaz winning.

I’d have to disagree. Davis in the past has shown a versatile skillset, albeit focused mainly on striking. But his striking game pre-Hardy used a good mixture of boxing and kicks that gave a lot of people trouble. He had no high caliber wins, but who had Diaz beat? Melvin was his best win. Melvin was on the way to winning standing if he didn’t have a brain fart. I simply didn’t think the pitter patter would work against guys with KO power like Davis, which is something Melvin showed.
I still contend that Hardy ruined Davis. We haven’t seen the same versatile skillset from pre-Hardy Davis

Yep. Kim beat Karo. That’s just a fact.

Is that directed at me?
If so you might be right. I’ll have to see who “TBA” is before I make a decision on this card. Least I can go to bed early if I buy it.

Yep. Love it. Picking the Stun Gun by decision, but it should be pretty damn exciting.

This is a great fight.
As are Vera/Silva, Maynard/Edgar (much as detractors will insist otherwise), and the likely Carwin/Nelson match. But I really hope that Stann/Leben and McKee/Volkmann are both prelim fights, because neither of those are interesting in the least.

Obviously.
Doesn’t mean I can’t hope.

Takes two people to make a good fight.
Stann is a terribly boring fighter, and I can damn near guarantee he runs away from Leben for 15 minutes. I’d say it’s a Spike prelims caliber fight at best.

This is hard. UFC 124 has my favorite fighter (GSP) and a few good match ups. But UFC 125 has another favorite (Edgar) and a badass undercard. Woe me, may as well save money for both

aweee shit
go Diaz, but Stun Gun is damn good
WTF is this business with Chris Leben fighting Brian Stann though?
Will Wandy not recover in time?
FFUUUUUUUUUU
Badass fight.
I can’t stand Nate Diaz so once again I’m picking against him.
Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.
Carwin without an opponent sure makes a compelling case to sign Megareem. I’m sure if they were working on that, Dana would be talking about apocalyptic news to come on his twitter.

Kim Dong Hyun: “The most important thing for my next fight is to try to win in exciting fashion with a KO or submission finish.”
Not going to happen but I expect an exciting decision in favor of DHK.
"Referees, be sure to step in and stop the fight on time tomorrow, because I might get carried away in the moment and my many punches may end up destroying my opponent." - Tatsuya "CRUSHER" Kawajiri
This should be a pretty exciting fight no matter what happens
Stun Gun should win this one and I really hope he does because I’m tired of Diaz and his in ring punking of other fighters.
Love this matchup
125 may have a title fight that doesn’t seem like it will meet a lot of people’s definition of ‘exciting’…but the rest of the card is going to be pretty awesome.
I’m a huge fan of Dong Hyun Kim and Nate Diaz…I love this matchup.
I like that Dong Hyun Kim is undefeated, I didn’t see the Karo fight, but most agree that Kim should have got the decision…but it was turned into a no-contest anyway. I really would have liked to see Kim stay undefeated for as long as possible, but if there’s any one I wouldn’t mind being the first to legitimately beat him, it’s Nate.
CPG
I've got Kim all day
Diaz won’t have the height and reach advantage that he’s enjoyed in his last few matches. Kim via Technically Precise Decision.

This is an interesting matchup
Can nate threaten the stun gun enough on the floor? I think this will turn into an interesting grappling match.
dont look now
but 125 is shaping up pretty nicely
#9 has the most incredible 4 yard gain in the history of the NFL.
Trane UFC for maximum death fighting abilities, brah.
I like this fight because the winner of this fight, I would imagine, will probably get someone around the top 10 of the UFC Welterweight division. I have to give the nod to Stun Gun though in that I feel that he can take him down and control him. I still worry about Stun Gun’s cardio though because he has had those issues before. When he is dominating a fight like against Amir or TJ Grant, it is not an issue, but when he really has to work, then it starts to become an issue.
