I think it's important for the non-UFC promotions

to be open to co-promotion, cross pollination with their fighters, and champion vs champion superfights.

I mean, it’s tough enough to establish that your guys in each division are legitimate when the UFC has the majority of the top 25 guys for every weight class. It’s even worse that out of the hanful of top ranked guys in each weight class that AREN’T in the UFC, they can be split between Bellator, StrikeForce, and Dream.

Yes, their is a chance your guy loses. Dream has had a bad taste of this when they sent Zaromskis, Manhoef, and Aoki over…but then you can always bring your guys back, build them up again, and create interest in a rematch…or build up new guys as another challenge.

Could you imagine 2 cards, Bellator vs StrikeForce…one promoted under the SF banner and shown on Showtime, another under the Bellator banner shown on FSN…where all of their champions fought.

I know the business angles of Dream, Ballator, and StrikeForce effectively co-promoting and having their guys fight in superfights would be hell to iron out all of the issues on…and likely, it’ll never completely work out in a the best way…but it would be the only way to legitimately get guys outside the UFC to show that they really are near the top of their divisions.

But Bellator has a bad TV deal and is struggling with ratings, StrikeForce can’t get any of their sh!t together to put on fights that make sense at the right time, and they risk too much on assuming who will win, and angle everything that way, and it blows up in their faces. And Dream seems to be struggling, notorious for not paying fighters and etc.

Maybe if they all hold eachothers hands and help eachother put on more relevant cards by having the best of each promotion fight…they could help themselves last longer.

Strikeforce vs Bellator would be pretty sick. I’d love to see Hector Lombard facing some better competition. Jacre, Le and Miller fights would be pretty sweet.

Exactly

Both promotions kinda get heat for not having legit, or legit enough, challengers for their champions…and so the champion of another promotion, even if it’s not the biggest promotion with the top guys, would be the best thing they could go for. Take all of the weight classes they have champs in, and split it the best they can, X amount of title super-fights for Bellator’s card, X amount for StrikeForce’s card.
