That choke...
…is garbage. So far, the only wins I’ve seen from Kim are against opponents who want a way out.
Well, since I made my last post above...
…I have learned that Braulio once tapped Marcelo with this, so it’s clearly a legit choke when used by the right person.
That said, I don’t see how Kim could be getting the necessary pressure on her opponent’s right carotid from that angle.
I was actually at a Braulio Estima seminar not long ago and I think he went through something like this. He used it from side control, but I think it was fairly similar to this. It definitely worked, and was a sort of combination RNC arm triangle
