“Brock doesn’t like to get hit.” That’s what I’ve been reading a lot since his first round TKO loss on Saturday night. Really? That wasn’t obvious during his win over Shane Carwin in his last title defense? I never hopped onto the Brock Lesnar band wagon, not fully anyways, but I was close. I did however think that he was too big and strong to get dominated the way Cain Velasquez dominated him Saturday night. I thought that this would be the rare occasion or the exception to the rule that technique always beats size and strength. I knew that Cain was a more technical fighter than Brock, but so is Frank Mir. I just thought that Brock is so big and so strong that he would be able to power his way out of almost any and all situations. This is a rare case that I am very happy to be wrong!
MMBB is the "bread and butter" post over at mondaymorningblackbelt.com, it's usually pretty well written and no matter who he's a fan of is written with an unbiased, real talk, honest approach. Check out the full article here: MMBB.
Also last week had the "best interview EVA" with "The New York Badass" Phil Baroni where he calls Brock a coward, predicts the Cain victory and takes credit for discovering Martin Kampmann among other things!
