Who is going to be over? There is always one.
Actually, there usually aren’t any fighters who go over. Who was the last one in the UFC? Alves?

I didn’t say it is. I’ve just noticed that that org tends to have more guys missing weight. Maybe they’re less strict about it there. Maybe it means nothing.

I’m waiting for someone to come wearing 18 t shirts and 6 pairs of pants and 14 pairs of socks and 12 pairs of underwear just to ruin this guys day.
that's the Frank Mir weigh-in special
Skull cap, 4 underarmor shirts, full underarmor onesy, sweat pants, sweat shorts, fight shorts, jacket, 4 chains.
The reason
Why this fight is in California is because they have the most strict PED test. Just check how many people have gotten caught using PEDs after a fight and almost all have been tested positive after fighting in California. Just to refresh peoples memory, Mr. Chael Sonnen tested positive…where? Cali. So i hope this stops all the Brock=steriods question. He’ll come in at a solid 264.
didn't diego get in a shoving match with someone last time they did outdoor weigh-ins?
hopefully he brings the crazy today

Really? Check out the California Athletic commision.
Just read an Article all about it. They’ve caught like 20 fighters. Well im sure its for the mexican market as well, most definitely. But im sure there are some people awaiting this test results…
Gotta say
I’m surprised Stout wasn’t picked to be on Spike. When was his last boring fight?

Just from looking at Brock
You can tell he’s focused alot of his training on cardio and backed off on his strength and conditioning.

No need to carry around the extra weight
He’s as strong at 265 as most big guys (like Carwin) would be at 285. If you don’t have to cut, why do it?

+1
This ^
He doesn’t sacrifice any strength in being leaner.. He just carries around less body fat and doesn’t have to cut as much.. He still had to cut for this fight.. And he’ll probably be 5-10 lbs heavier by tomorrow..

Negative ghost rider..
He’s at peak strength..
Leaner and cardio.. sure.. It’s mostly because of diet..
He hasn’t lost anything in strength.. He’s the exact same size he was in college About 265 @ 9-10% body fat.. He’s in peak condition…

I'm not..
But just because he is leaner doesn’t mean he sacrificed anything in the strength department..
He is eating a super clean diet, thus decreasing body fat percentage.. Will it help his cardio.. I’d say maybe..
But Luke Richesson has him at peak physical strength.. I do know Luke.. :)

"One should always be cold minded and remember that a ridiculous incident may occur any time."
randy had a HUGE experience edge and a great gameplan in that fight, and still lost due to the size advantage.
He lost because hes old. Old NOG even knocked him down, several times.

That
was more of an experience difference.
Cain could drop to 235 with only fat loss. Granted, he’s not “fedor doughie” but a lot was made over that fact there wouldn’t be a huge weight advantage. There obviously is a big difference because Cain is not ripped at 244.
by Lunatic-Fridge on Oct 22, 2010 6:00 PM EDT up reply actions
If CAIN dropped a few lbs of muscle, and actually leaned out, he could easily fight at LHW. He really isn’t much bigger then Forrest or Bader.
but he's not exactly lean...
if he actually eats anything like he did in the primetime episode, then he could easily drop 10ish lbs of fat just by dieting. And I am sure he has been doing extra strength training in this camp.
If he lost ~5-10lbs of muscle and ~10lbs of fat he would be able to make LHW pretty easily.
Cain vs Bones :-x
oh good god, please no, lol my two favorite fighters going toe to toe..
I don’t think Cain would ever make the switch. Would be interesting though
he would lose his most valuable asset though
his unrelenting pace. If he cuts down to 205 we would see Cain turn into Ryan Bader, as in he would gas before the first round ends.
