Yoshihiro Akiyama says Michael Bisping was really slippery.

"I only went for one takedown but Bisping's body was really slippery. Even if I do say so myself..."
Akiyama's camp puts the loss down to "poor communication" and Akiyama did not directly accuse Bisping of greasing but the Japanese fighter himself has a storied history regarding his skin as his comment, "even if I do say so myself" indicates."

5 minutes in the Jackson camp and Akiyama is already bringing up the topic of greasing.. What is it with those guys?
well as the story mentions
Akiyama has quite a history. He was accused of greasing in multiple Judo competitions and admitted greasing against Sakuraba in K-1 Heros. His win over Saku was ruled a No Contest.

There was a point in the fight where Akiyama went for a takedown or he grabbed Bispong and he rubbed his hands together after it failed and he pointed at Bisping. Wish I had a GIF.

I'm rarely in the "Dana White needs to do this!" camp
But he really needs to just put a blanket requirement that fighters can’t be talking about potential cheating in public. I’m not sure how exactly he’d implement punishment, but this is just getting ridiculous—-true or not, the sheer volume of these types of comments can begin to compromise the integrity of the sport for people who don’t follow up on the true story.
Not afraid to nitpick
I dunno, if accused fighters become that bothered about it, let their lawyers sort it our with claims of slander or defamation.
The concern for White shouldn't necessarily be the reputation of individual fighters
But the sport or organization as a whole. There’s literally no upside for these types of comments going public.

And thinking that Bisping might be greasy.

Which wasn’t much fun really, and Bisping does looka bit on the slippery side. However, it’s quite hard to tell.

IIRC and he failed to catch Bisping’s legs on several kicks as well.

A big one at the start, where he really has what looks like good purchase on a leg, and Bisping just effortlessly slide sit out of Akiyama’s grip. Upon another watch (even less fun), I’d say there is probably some credence to this accusation.

The New Rule on Vaseline..
was that when u get to the official to check ur cup and mouthpiece, you get all your “good luck” hugs and well wishes with your team, then you go to the official, who puts Vaseline on your face and checks gloves and shit…..you are not allowed to touch your team after that point…..but Bisping did in this fight!! then immediatly afterwards the commision wiped his back down, ala GSP in the Vaseline-gate deal…Check it 4 yourself, i aint lyin’….haha
