UFC 120 Preview: Michael Bisping -"This Fight Means Everything"
"I’ve only truly lost one fight at middleweight (not counting Wanderlei Silva)."-- Click here for more of Michael Bisping during the UFC 120 Pre-fight press conference. (transcribed by Sherdog.com)
"(Yoshihiro Akiyama) said he’s gonna knock me out in the first round. That pissed me off a little bit. Look at my last fight against Chris Leben. He didn’t land a good one on me. He had to go to hospital, and I enjoyed myself after the fight."
"I don’t rate my past two bouts highly (Wanderlei Silva and Dan Miller). Everything was a lesson to me in terms of how to condition myself to the fight. Everything is coming together, and it’s mine for the taking."

Looks like Bisping is grossed out by Chris’ roid blood in that photo.

I hope it is everything to you Bisping
Then it’ll just be better when you get KTFO by Sexyama
I don’t know which I’ll enjoy more, Akiyama putting a beatdown on Bisping, or Condit putting a beatdown on Hardy.
CPG
That sucks you won’t get to enjoy either.

Both will be nice....
but Bisping getting KTFO again will be better… You know… I don’t want to hate the guy, but he makes it so damn difficult… first he still doesn’t acknowledge is clear loss to Hamill. Even Dana said that he got the most hate mail from that fight alone… Don’t bi+ch to me about getting screwed on a disicion loss until you admit to you BS win!! — Besides, he clearly lost the Silva fight… what a little punk

That is a disturbing photo. I love how Bisping pulls these stock declarations out every time. He’s finally training right, he’s finally hungry again, he’s rededicated, he knows what his mistakes were in the past, and over and over and over again. For a guy with such a big mouth, he never brings anything new to the table. And he always loses the big fights. When he and Dan get smacked Saturday, it’s gonna be tasty…

I would like to have some tea and strumpets with Michael and have him explain to me how in the blue hell he thinks he beat Wanderlei Silva.

He thinks he outworked Wanderlei
Which you could definitely argue… except that Bisping ignores the guillotine and the knockdown. I guess if you ignore the two most significant moments of the fight, Bisping might’ve won it.
"There's this image that you have, this interior image of something that's absolutely perfect, and that's your signpost, your guide. And you'll never get there. But without it you'll never get anywhere."
If by “outworked” you mean “covered more distance if they were wearing pedometers” I can see that.

I like how worked up he got over Condit’s comment at the press conference. Michael Bisping knows decisions like nobody else, and he won’t have the judges disparaged…

Carlos better finish him. If it is left up to the judges he might get Hamill’d.

lol
like carlos isnt a stranger to gift decisions. He got his ass beat in the ellenburger fight and was also given the macdonald fight with the ref stoppage. People act surprised that hardy is a favorite. Really? Look at both their ufc careers. Conduit has been unimpressive as shit since coming to the ufc.

Hardy is no better
4 UFC victories
3 decisions
2 split decisions
1 Unanimous decision
1 Knockout
1 Unanimous decision loss

point missed, i think.
Theres a difference between a gift decision and a decision win.
I’m fairly certain that Hardy hasn’t had any gift decisions in the UFC.

no...
just fights where 1/3 of the judges thought the other guy won…

Yeah you just listed two fights where Carlos was destroying his opponent the entire last round. If there was a gift decision given, it was to Martin Kampmann. And Carlos doesn’t talk like he’s perennially on the cusp of a title fight, whereas Bisping does, yet can’t even handle Pride’s champions, let alone what the top guys in the division would do to him.

Agreed.
Even if you forget about the guillotine and the knockdown, Wand still wins that fight based on aggression and Octagon control. Judges don’t give fights to guys who spend the whole fight backing up unless the are totally dominant in their counter striking. Bisping might have been doing slightly better in the exchanges, but he didn’t do anywhere near enough to offset Wand’s advantage in aggression.
Strumpets? I do not think that word means what you think it means.
When a ball goes into a net, it only means something because we decide it means something. When somebody punches somebody in the face it always means something.

lol looks like he means “crumpets” or maybe he actually does want to frequent prostitutes with Bisping. Whatever floats your boat

After the Kang win
I almost became a fan of yours, but when keep on saying that you won the Wanderlei fight – the freaking hate begins again.
I am. I think. I will. - Ayn Rand
But I won’t pick against Jon Jones again until I see him lose. - Kwisatz Haderach
Agreed.
I have never ‘hated’ Bisping. I disliked him after the ‘go back to wrestling’ bit with Hamill, but I got over it. But his constant dismissal of Wanderlei’s win is really starting to piss me off.
Here’s a reminder of how that fight ended Mike
For sure, Bisping is delusional. I’m not sure what world he lives in where he nearly gets KO’d to end the fight and almost gets submitted mid way through the fight and still thinks he won, that fight was really close but if you add those two things in it clearly favors Wandy…On a side note Bisping will beat Akiyama.

I really want a definitive finish
Because I know if it’s anything less than a 30-27 decision, he’ll make an argument that he won 2 of the rounds.
I mean, the guy got one of the worst split decisions ever when he ‘defeated’ Hamill, and has the audacity to ask ’Who’s the real winner of the ultimate fighter?’ certainly not you Bisping.
CPG
That pic looks like the worst wake-up-after-a-bachelor-party morning in the world.
(I’m British so I should have said stag night, but whatever)
Im going to go back and watch TUF series 3 again. its been so long that ive forgot why every American hates Bisping. He never speaks down on his opponent though everyone seems to think he does and it cant be for The UK vs US TUF series because everyone with half a brain knows they always edit the series to have a good coach and a bad coach and Henderson just inst anywhere near interesting enough as a person to make out as the bad guy.
For me it must boil down to his voice which is annoying as hell alot of the time. Ive always sort of liked him and hes went up in my estimations after the 120 press conference because he turned it from very boring all the way to laugh out loud entertaining by himself.
I think it mostly goes back to that win over Hamill. It’s wasn’t really about the decision, which was horrible, it was his attitude after the fight. Like he dominated that fight and Hamill really had no business being in the ring with him. Then he got pissy when people asked him about the controversial decision.
Death is the Road to Awe
Yea he has in both the Hamill and Wanderlei fight spoke about him clearly winning but I think most it was said in the heat of the moment and hes always very keen to build his name which of course the hate does better than his fans.
Personally the Hamill fight I thought sure Hamill probably should have won but wasnt like Hamill did much with his control which has been the hot topic recently. Wanderlei fight if it wasnt for the very near finishes at the end of two of the rounds Bisping would have edged it but Wanderlei deserved it for those two things alone.
Way I see it if anyone watched the Evans fight again the first round was a clear 10 – 9 to evens but the other two rounds could easily have been Bispings but no way he was winning that fight off the back of Hamill so these things swing in roundabouts and I do think Bisping got way too much flack and the whole bullshit about it being hard to get a decision in the UK.

He's still butthurt over being beaten by Wanderlei?
Get over it, you lost. Train harder, get better. If you stew about a loss and fool yourself into thinking you won, you will never attain the level you need to be at; or as Red Fox had said, “YOU BIG DUMMY”
"Now you see that evil will always triumph, because good is dumb."
