Bellator 32 Weigh-in Results
Weigh-ins for Bellator Fighting Championships 32 are in the books, with all fighters making weight. Two titles will be on the line as Cole Konrad and Neil Grove square off in the finals of Bellator's first heavyweight tournament, and Ed "Wild" West meets Zach Makovsky for the vacant 135-pound strap.
Unfortunately, it sounds like most fans won't get to see the fights as they happen, as Michael David Smith says that "apparently not a single Fox Sports Net affiliate is showing [Bellator] live on Thursday night."

So, if Kole Conrad lays on Neil Grove for 25 minutes and no one sees it does it make a sound?

in reality though, this sucks for Bellator and all the fighters who are now going to get screwed both in terms o exposure and in sponsorship dollaz.

well the fighters
should get paid as it will still be aired, just not live.

Also Bellator keeps all the Full Tilt sponsorship money for themselves. Bellator gives none of it to the fighters.
Every single market?
It’s bad enough that occasionally I have to wait in the NW until 10, 12, or even three AM but I always knew if I looked hard enough I could find a stream or something.
This is insane.
I gave up on watching Bellator live about two shows into the FSN contract. I don’t even make the effort anymore. I just download a torrent the next day and watch whatever fights interest me.
FSN is awful for MMA.
It's not awful for MMA...
they’re giving a small promotion exposure and constant replays that provide much more viewers than they would get otherwise. It sucks that their shows aren’t being carried live more consistently but it’s not a ratings draw like even regional sports talk is, so it’s understandable why they don’t have more pull with the networks.

This is just awful
How the hell can you expect anybody to give a shit about your promotion when you put on a card w/ 2 title fights & nobody can watch it live. I had high hopes for Bellator after the first 2 seasons but this one has been a letdown. Between almost never being able to watch it live & the Kole Conrad smotherfest we’ve had to endure im sure their losing the few fans they had. Hopefully the step it up for season 4 & get out of that god awful deal w/ FSN

they were desperate to get a TV deal with some live exposure
unlike ESPN Desportivas which ALWAYS showed the fights later at least FSN is sometimes live.

FSN also replays the fights at various times during the week. That isn’t a bad thing.

I read this quickly and thought it stated "Two titties"....
…in a reference to Konrad, alas it was “Two titles”…my bad…
In all seriousness, not one market? Ouch, hopefully that’s not the case with Alvarez-Huerta and Askren-Good next week….

Do they show these fights on YouTube or somewhere else the next day or something? Is there any way to watch it live? I have DISH, and they don’t carry any FOX affiliated channels right now.

FSN NW has it scheduled
for 8-10 pm Thursday night. But we’ll see if they actually air it.

This goes to show how bad the tv deal is. They actually found a day where there is no hockey or basketball in the NYC area, and still MSG+ is showing a tape delayed senior’s tennis match. How do they manage to pull that off?
wow, just noticed that....
….Jim Courier vs. Mats Wilander!?! WTF is up with that decision by MSG+?!
There are certainly some benefits to FSN, but clearly their national office does not have much pull with their own affiliates.

looks like we’ll have it at 1130, but on Friday. On thursday it’s preempted for a taped huntin’ and fishin’ show.

So, guys – do you think that if Bellator was really hauling in viewers that the affiliates might take a different view regarding live TV of the events? Let’s be honest here. Maybe they just don’t generate that much interest and that many eyeballs on the screen.
They don't...
if they did, they’d be on over anything but live regional sports. This deal is only “bad” for the hardcore fans that want to see it live. The majority of people who tune in just because they’re flipping channels have no idea when the fights took place and aren’t at any risk of getting “spoiled”

Gave up on Bellator
I gave up on Bellator a long time ago. Between their horrible TV deal and their main financial backer being investigated by the FBI it is safe to say Bellator will be out of business soon.
I agree w earlier posts
I gave it a good effort to watch bellator and actually enjoyed parts of it but in st louis there is always a game of some sorts that goes into OT or something. I have to dvr for like 5 hours to hopefully catch the show somewhere in that block. Its not worth the effort. Bad tv deal.
