I like it

Because in my opinion, Rory MacDonald vs Matt Brown just seemed like a no-win for Matt Brown…after which he would probably get cut.

The same thing will probably happen if he loses to Foster…but his chances are a lot better.

Glad to see Gerald Harris in the middle of main card but how about giving him

someone people have heard of instead of tough newcomers. He has star potential….

beware the fury of a patient man....

by dwntempo on Oct 13, 2010 6:14 PM EDT reply actions

Yeah he does. I think he could be the future @ middleweight but i’d love to see him fight someone not making their debut. Good to see Mr. Wonderful on the main card too.

by ddub83 on Oct 13, 2010 6:26 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions

Agreed

Who would have been a better match up for him? Maybe someone like a Grove/Rivera/Sakara?

by TMadeBurner on Oct 13, 2010 6:37 PM EDT up reply actions

…but I’m aware that all of those guys were already booked before this fight so basically what I’m saying is that they really didn’t have very many options.

by TMadeBurner on Oct 13, 2010 6:49 PM EDT up reply actions

I was thinking the same thing about Harris

but then I realized that he’s actually kinda old. He’s already 30, so if he’s going to be the future of middleweight it has to be really soon.

by av1o3 on Oct 13, 2010 6:48 PM EDT up reply actions

Didn't realize he was that old

All the more reason for a step up in competion. The winner of Sakara/Rivera would be appropriate w/ a win I think.

by ddub83 on Oct 13, 2010 7:01 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions

He won't be

Prior to that slam he was having a hard time getting and keeping non-wrestler Branch down…I don’t see him getting past the better guys to even get a title shot.

Agreed

he’s a nice guy but his abilities may be getting overstated.

West coast sucks a dick. 2Pac had nothing on Big and Easy E and Magic Johnson got HIV cause West Coast broads are dirty as hell. I wish I was from New Jersey because the shitty bagels and pizza I have out here are making my butthole bleed.

True

His stance standing up is terrible too, if he ever fights somebody with good stand up and tdd he is fucked.

by av1o3 on Oct 13, 2010 7:35 PM EDT up reply actions

Good fight. I think Brown is a little more refined than Foster, but Foster has big power. I shall go Foster by TKO

No thanks

Karo needs to prove he can actually show up and fight before he earns the right to be on a televised portion of a card again.

Should be a good scrap

Dissapointing that MacDonalds out. He looked great until the 3rd round v. Condit. I was looking forward to see how he came back. Still should be a good fight though. Brown is always entertaining.

by ddub83 on Oct 13, 2010 6:21 PM EDT via mobile reply actions

I looooooove Brian Foster fights

With the lack of TUF guys on here (just Brown) I bet this bombs in the ratings.

Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.

very disapointing for macdonald

u dont wanna see injuries become a trend for him or he could wind up going the jz cavalcante and josh thompson route

hopefully he recovers and comes back strong

Why?

Brown and Foster are known for putting on slug-fests and finishing fights. Hallman isn’t the world’s most exciting fighter, and Karo hasn’t looked all that dynamic in his last few fights (DHK, Alves) – makes much more sense to have the Foster-Brown fight on Spike IMHO.

by Scott Haber on Oct 13, 2010 7:09 PM EDT up reply actions

That means Karo has to actually show up for the fight first. Id love to see him make a comeback cause im a sucker for judo throws, but id like to see him show up for a fight before he starts gettin tv time again

by ddub83 on Oct 13, 2010 7:10 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions

Karo 100% doesn't deserve that

He really doesn’t even deserve to be in the UFC right now but apparently Dana has a soft spot for him.

I say keep him off scheduled TV for AT LEAST two fights then reevaluate his situation.

by TMadeBurner on Oct 13, 2010 7:13 PM EDT up reply actions

yea prob not

but his judo throws are fun and i like watching him

i said id like to see it not that it should happen

I love this for one reason...

I’m a huge fan of Matt Brown and Rory Mac so I would hate to see either MacDonald go on a 2 fight losing streak or see Brown go on a 3 fight losing streak (and probably get cut).

I’m not saying Foster is any easier then MacDonald, but at least its easy for me to cheer for one and not the other.

by Fedorable on Oct 13, 2010 7:19 PM EDT reply actions

Brian Foster is tough and not an easy fight for Matt Brown at all. The same thing applies for Rory MacDonald. For some reason though, I find Foster vs Brown more winnable For Matt Brown than MacDonald vs Brown.

Browns record sucks and he can’t handle mid to upper tier guys but the intensity in which he fights and the style he has he shouldn’t be cut. He’s too exciting. Kind of like bonnar. Win or lose its fun to watch. I got brown here.

I see Sotoropolis losing his first UFC fight to Joe Lauzon.

call me crazy, but Joe looked like a mad donkey raper against Rudiger.

But he looked so bad against sam stout. Sot is in a different class than either stout or ruediger.

I only care about the last fight fought.

Joe looked awsome. Sot looked human vs Pelegrino.

Peligrino is on a different level than Ruediger though.

Yes, but

That was Joe’s first fight coming back from knee surgery and he looked nothing like he has looked in all of his other fights.

Sot is tough, but I wouldn’t be shocked at all if Lauzon pulled out the W.

I see a lot of people saying this fight should be moved off the Spike portion and I agree, but no seems to have the right replacement fight. If the point of the Spike fights are to either introduce up and comers or to sell the ppv, they should bump up the Paul Kelly vs Marie Antoinette. I mean you know both are gonna go in there and throw with reckless abandon. I figure good old fashioned violence will sell a ppv better than a relative unknown to the masses vs a journeyman with few credible wins
