Joe Stevenson vs. Mac Danzig Slated for UFC 124 in Montreal

Two TUF season winners will do battle in Montreal, according to our friends at MMA Mania:
There's a fantastic lightweight match-up brewing between former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) champions Joe Stevenson and Mac Danzig, as the veteran 155'ers are currently in talks to throw down at the upcoming UFC 124 pay-per-view on Dec. 11 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
MMAmania.com confirmed the bout was in the works earlier today.

Win Spencer Fisher - Submission (Elbows) UFC 104
Win Nate Diaz - Decision (Unanimous) TUF 9 Finale

Danzig loses to Wiman and then gets Joe Daddy?
I know the loss was ridiculous due to poor refereeing, but man, tough break on Danzig.
This could be it for Danzig.
If he loses here, I wouldn’t expect for Zuffa to keep him around any longer.

Joe Daddy and Stefan Struve usually puts on good fights
And Howard will most likely keep the fight standing, allowing Alves to display his Muay Thai skills.
Every time I see Danzig’s name I think, “wow, that guy is still in the UFC?”
Todd Duffee got cut off a loss and a bad attitude but freakin’ Danzig is still getting fights? God Bless God and Zuffa.

Agree with all other analogies but I give Doerksen a chance, especially the fire he will be in under his last loss to CB.

he desperatley needs to train at golden glory
if he can get some kickboxing to go with his dangerous ground game and lets say 40lbs of muscle he’ll be a beast

its not absurd at all get him up to 280-285 and have him cut to make 265

Good lookin card just needs a relevent co-main event. Don’t see how Danzig keeps his job if he drops this one unless he has incriminating pictures of Dana hidden somewhere

this card looks alot like ufc 116
gigantic headliner then the rest of the card is filled with a bunch of interesting matchups and potentially awesome fights

Can't get too jazzed about this one
but with this card, it hardly matters.
Tatum: I think he's a good man. I like him. I got nothing against him, but I'm definitely gonna make orphans of his children.
This seems like a pretty big step down for Stevenson.

Why is Stevenson still fighting, he will never reach the top 10 nor title contention anywhere in MMA
Yeah, everyone who's not a champion should retire.
Brock, Shogun, Anderson, GSP, Edgar and Aldo can just keep fighting each other for the next ten years. It makes perfect sense.
