Good to see Florian making the adjustments to improve his game. Even so it’s a long to road to being able to defeat BJ. Especially since Penn has decided to maximize his own potential.
Yeah I doubt he’ll get all the way down that road, though I’m a fan of Kenny’s. I think he’s going to be a pretty steady #2 in the division, but while his gameplan against BJ was screwy, I’m not sure the right gameplan would be enough either. Still, he continues to work hard on his boxing, and he looked pretty damn strong grappling with Guida, so I’ll be hoping he can get there…IMO the only facet of MMA he really has a chance of passing Penn in is kickboxing, so hopefully Kenny gets a fight with a guy with stronger standup than Guida. I’d like to see what he can do with Edgar or Gomi. Kenny and Nate Marquardt are in the same boat.

gomi
should win this fight… he’s stronger and has better striking. there’s no way Kenny can knock him out… but I have a feeling it’s gonna be florian via sub or dec.

Kenny Florian:
Great fighter, but damn is that man boring to listen to…
Don't believe a word I say, I don't train BJJ.
