Wand looks a lot different now after the surgery though.. but still, compared to the others they recently released, this poster looks a lot better.

Yeah Wand’s lost a bit of his Jack Nicholson gorilla face. I’ve gotta remember to sacrifice some goats, and pray to the Gods of War for a huge victory for Wanderlei. And I’m pretty curious to see what George can do against Joe Daddy.

dude, I didn’t think of that before, I’ll sacrifice a goat as well. War Wandy!

Whew! These goats are sure messy on the inside. I’m pretty bloody right now, but I’ll write back when I don’t have to hunt and peck with my one clean digit. War Wand! ooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaooooooooooooooo.oooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaoooooooooooo!

you’re doing it wrong, you’re only supposed to cut the throat! no messing with the insides!

I see the brit and american flags in the background but the main event is a brazillian vs a mexican-american. I guess the flags are for the co-main event. If my band was headlining a show and the poster had the opening band’s album cover art work on it I would be pissed off.

Maybe it's just me

But I’m really pumped up for this card.

It’s not just you :) Nog/Cain will be awesome. And Jardine/Bader and Stevenson/Sotiropoulos are both pretty interesting fights to me. I’m expecting Wand to get a big win here, and terrified that Cro Cop will look terrible and get run over by Big Ben. Much intrigue with this card.

by Kwisatz Haderach on Jan 6, 2010 1:35 PM EST up reply actions

Where would Wand even go if he lost..

im really looking forward to this card. but poor elvis. at least he got a fight he might be able to win.

That was a real kick and good for laughs and lashings of the old ultraviolent.

by mistake4 on Jan 6, 2010 1:44 PM EST reply actions

I put in a $10 parlay

Cain, Bisping, Jardine and Vera and it pays $500. I jumped on them all early so my odds on Cain are at +190. I’m least comfortable about Jardine but Im hoping all of his training with the wrestlers at Jackson’s camp can get him prepared for Bader.

Giving Shogun his props. I had the fight 48-47 Machida but Shogun put up a monumental performance and I am honored to have seen it in person.

by Day Man on Jan 6, 2010 1:46 PM EST reply actions

Hmmm gonna be disappointing, Vera is not fighting on this card, isn’t he rumored to fight jones on a versus show? Do they let you do parlays split amongst different shows?

Oh and Vera has no shot at beating jones

by kanodogg on Jan 6, 2010 2:27 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

Yeah most of them will let you parlay on different cards. Looking at the above parlay though, I think that will pay out $0.00

yeah

I had a pretty outlandish parlay going too but it fell through from the first card alone! It is fun to dream though

I’m rooting for Wandy but I’d bet on Bisping at the odds listed above. But yeah, Vera gon get raped.

by ufc4 on Jan 6, 2010 2:33 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

Well thats the key. If I hit all three on the first card then I can hedge out by betting 2-3 hundred on Jones and lock in a guaranteed profit

I know Bonnar probably has a job for life due to his first fight with Griffin, but what the hell do they do with him if he loses to Soszynski?

Joe Stevenson???

C’mon man, enough of this guy. I can understand if they want to finish his contract as quickly as possible, but he does not need to be on the main card everytime he fights.

by RickRude on Jan 6, 2010 2:19 PM EST reply actions

He's a very good test for Sotiropoulos

and they would be making a mistake if they didn’t have at least one hometown fighter featured on an overseas main card. Plus it’s time to get George off the undercard.

I actually think this is great matchmaking.

by grein on Jan 6, 2010 3:07 PM EST up reply actions

I’m hoping George wins as well. I just can’t see how he can against Jo Daddy. I reckon Stevenson’s wrestling will ultimately decide the fight, not to mention his stand up is better than George’s.

Sorry, he Jason Bourned me.

Flashbacks of PRIDE past.

Wandy, Big Nog and Mirko all on one card.

I might be alone but I’m still hoping beyond hope that I get one last look of the old Mirko.

This is a sick card. good poster.

Shows how far Keith Jardine’s star has fallen when he’s +130 against Ryan bader

by TLow on Jan 6, 2010 2:37 PM EST reply actions

You realize Bader is good right?

by ufc4 on Jan 6, 2010 7:36 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

He’s good, no question. Doesn’t change that Jardine goes from less than a year ago being ranked #6 or #7 and now being an underdog against a guy not in the top 25.

by TLow on Jan 6, 2010 8:29 PM EST up reply actions

cause Bader's style poses problems for him..

Jardine’s weaknesses… Questionable Chin, and coming off a devastating KO, Questionable Takedown Defense.

Both of which play to Bader’s advantage.

by Anton Tabuena on Jan 6, 2010 10:16 PM EST up reply actions

With a sport as volatile as MMA, rankings mean very little outside of who is #1 and who is #2.

The difference b/t pre op and post op Wandy

is ridiculous IMO. I can’t even put it fully into words, but one thing for sure is that he doesn’t look anywhere near as scary.

Ricky Hatton came closer to beating Manny Pacquiao than Marquez did to beating Floyd.

I think he looks scarier, his eyebrows are pointing up, before he looked like the missing link between humans and apes, now he looks diabolic IMO. I’ve read people saying he looks feminine, I just don’t see it.
