They did, at least that was the rumor a couple weeks ago.

I was wondering why he didn’t even try to sprawl.

Rickson Gracie
agreed
I’m sure he didn’t want to cause it more drama. Well, at least he’s not like tito and is not saying he broke his face!

If that had been Tito, he’d be saying he broke his back and was in a wheelchair for half the training camp and still managed to somehow fight, cause that’s how Tito rolls.
I love me some Sexyama!

And at least 1,500 of those words would be made up.

This makes 108 even weaker
So in a show with no main event, the headliner card had one guy injured? Super weak
Ummmm
No, it wasn’t. Rest of the card had good action but the main event sucked.

Did you watch the same main event that I did? 3 minutes of frustrating anti-climatic excitement, and 12 minutes of dry-humping doesn’t classify as a good fight to me
It was a fine fight until Silva hurt Rashad and refused to finish him. Don’t waive come on to a fighter you just knocked loopy and is back pedaling. Don’t put your hands down and let a guy that you could be finishing, recover from damage that you worked so hard to inflict.
Some people think I am a dumb, ugly human being, but really I am a beautiful ape, with exceptional verbal skills.
he was dead tired,
and was trying to hide it by show boating and putting his hands on his waist… Normal people would’ve just done the Kimbo Alexander instead

It was a frustrating thing with a minute and a half left. I lost my voice yelling at the TV. At that point he was down two on the cards and needed to reach down and get a little something extra. A comeback victory would have been a cherry on top of a great night. He was so close.

Not really a Thiago Silva fan
But he’s a fucking warrior
We're just a million little gods causin' rain storms, turning every good thing to rust.
that's what I was thinking,
never seen him so doughy.
Not bad for a bad back.
I wonder if Rolles Gracie was palmfacing the whole fight.
Refusal to pull out
is what brought him onto this earth in the first place

dear lord, this Sulu picture makes me feel dirty

it wasnt that bad of a fight
Yah Rashad probably should’ve used his ground and pound when he got it down there, but maybe he knew about his injury, and didn’t want to finish him? Haah shoulda coulda

so now will come the comments of how Thiago would have won without the injury
If he was injured he should of pulled out. Everyone is going to say the UFC didnt want him backing out and I’m sure that is true but it’s not like they would have cut him.
If Silva was hurt , he should have pulleded out but instead he didnt and he lost.
And I’m sure this is all gonna be blamed on Zuffa and the “evil” Dana White but my question is was his manegement team trying to sell the fight when they said he was 100% like a week before 108 or what?

B/c americans would never do such a thing. ;)

I don't see Thiago whining...
unlike some bleach blonde bad boy I know.

I’m going to run out of “I see what you did there” pics. :)

Sorry, I had to roll my eyes at this announcement. Whatever, he looked like he was punching pretty hard to me.
That said, a bad back can be pretty debilitating, depending on how bad, you really can’t do anything when you have a bad back, except for maybe the odd water exercise.
So there’s really no way to compare. If Thiago was going to pull out, I’m assuming his back injury was pretty bad, but how bad was Rashad’s hamstring, and how far out was it. Were they going into the fight normal but it affected the training, were they going into the fight with things still tweaked?
I’m planning on seeing Thiago potentially fight the loser of Machida/Rua, or maybe Jon Jones or some other name. If he does you can bet that Zuffa had made some kind of deal with him.
how about Thiago vs Cane?

Both train at ATT. So, probably not. But, it would be a good fight.

To be fair I also considered pulling out of this card. Going in I had a pretty bad case of “this is barely worth my time”.
However I sucked it up and did what I had to do in order to see Mcloving do a living rolling kick.
I dislike Matt Hughes. Shogun beat him like a dirty horse.

yeah I think Mcloving is regretting that now

Well now
I can tell my friends that thought it was fixed to jump off a cliff. Unless this whole back injury thing is a cover up.
"I will do nothing lightly. When I walk, I will walk heavily. When I fight, I will fight with conviction. When I speak, I will speak strongly. When I love, I will love with everything"
Your friends have no critical thinking skills.
I suggest you stop hanging out with morons.
A bad back huh....
Hopefully I don’t ever have to, but if I ever need back surgery I am going to do the Rashad Evans mockery dance like Silva did. I guess that’s what heals backs.
