Ok seems like this is gonna be a really good season I think, heard of Cleburn and Victor and that Noke guy seems legit, anyone who had a draw with Lombard has to be solid and he did beat George S.
Again, my question is this, I heard that possibly Mario Miranda was on this season, then I heard he was cut.
Did he make this season? I know he is a LHW but can drop to MW, kid is unbeaten, 11 and 0 and is down with Blackhouse, on this site they listed him as one of the best LHW prospects in the sport.
Did he make the season or was he cut? Cause I have to say, if he went out for this season and the UFC cut him, I dont know what to say. Now if he had trouble making MW and they said fuck it, we’ll sign him straight up, I’m cool with that, but if they just cut this kid and didnt pick him up, what are they doing?
they let Tyron Woodley get away and now he is SF top WW prospect, I really hope that Miranda made this season, but I’m begining to think he didnt, which sucks, cause man I’ve heard alot about that kid.
Last I heard, Miranda had a deal on the table from Strikeforce that was contingent on his last fight, which he won. But I don’t know if he signed it.
He got cut
I heard that both he and Jaime Jara got cut towards the end. No idea why.

Why have a 39 year old on TUF? Just give him a contract and let him fight on the Australia card. Makes more sense than Sinosic.
Forget the hype, the back story . . . I just hope the matches are better than Season 10.
yeah yeah yeah . . .

Unfortunately we’re going to hear Dana talk about how crazy and wild the fights are going to be this season.

Disregard it as promoter speak and let the fights speak for themselves. The promoter and producers are going to make each fight seem like the greatest TUF fight ever— their existence is contingent upon your viewership.

I would take some Public Relations 101 taught by the professor Tito Ortiz.
That would be hilarious.

Does it even matter anymore?
We all know that Warren Thomson is going to win the show. So why contiune to put out names that are going to loose?
Cuz’ gettin’ loose is what it’s all about.

I'm keeping my expectations low
This way, if anyone does something other than lay n pray or deploy the Windmill Technique, I’ll be pleasantly surprised.
oh Victor O Donnell
one of the best ohio prospects out there right now. Awesome to see him on this. I have watched him fight 4 times live, the dude finds a way to win.
A pair of local fighters will appear on the next season of the UFC reality show "The Ultimate Fighter." According to two sources, Bourne native Greg Rebello and Nashua, N.H., native Woody Weatherby have been cast for the 11th season of the popular Spike TV series.
The inclusion of Rebello (9-2) and Weatherby (7-3) is no surprise, as both have been highly successful on the local scene. Rebello, who trains at Sityodtong in Somerville, has won eight consecutive fights since a loss in 2005.
Weatherby, who splits training time between Sityodtong and Renzo Gracie in Derry, N.H., owns an impressive win over UFC veteran John Howard. Weatherby nearly made the eighth season of TUF, but was cut late in the casting process because he was deemed too small to compete with the 205-pound light heavyweights.
TUF 11 is featuring middleweights, making Weatherby a better fit.

No way...
Noke is 39. He was on two EliteXC shows a few years ago and didn’t look that old. Both his fights (against Seth Kleinbeck and Scott Smith) are very entertaining.

I don’t think he received an invite, but I could be wrong. I’m surprised guys like Nick Thompson, Jason Lambert, and Bobby Southworth didn’t make it because all of those guys are better fighters than Kyacey Uscola and Cleburn Walker.
I guess because of Bobby’s age he was out but he’s still a quality fighter.
by scrambledeggs on Jan 27, 2010 7:16 PM EST up reply actions
Well, since Southworth was already on TUF season 1; I doubt they want him back for another round.
As for Lambert, he’s on a 5 fight losing streak, so I don’t think the UFC has any interest in picking him back up unless he manages to get back on track and start racking up wins again.
Thompson could be an interesting choice for TUF, but I suppose there’s all kinds of reasons why the UFC would avoid bringing him in for TUF, since he’s not the most interesting TV personality and his contract status might raise complications.

No you must’ve misunderstood what I was talking about. I didn’t just grabs those guys out of thin air.
They all were invited to tryouts and made it to the 2nd. of evaluations, but apparently didn’t get selected to join the cast.
by scrambledeggs on Jan 27, 2010 8:51 PM EST up reply actions
And I suspect that it’s largely for the reasons I listed that they were not chosen. As we’ve seen from past seasons of TUF, pure athleticism and fighting prowess alone doesn’t make the UFC perceive someone as a good candidate for the show.

I wouldn’t be shocked if those guys weren’t invited and kept around for a bit just to give them some decent guys to test some of the other guys against.

do you know what indio means in the Spanish/Filipino Culture?
that’s what the Spanish called all the Filipino natives (sometimes as a derogatory term) at the time of their occupancy.

no it's cool.
that was like a hundred years ago, and I (and most Filipino’s I think) don’t take offense on that… maybe our great great grandmothers did, but we don’t…

If true
it’s fantastic that Villefort’s getting another shot. He was screwed a bit when he was axed after losing to Lennox in his debut because of a cut.

For sure
I was really sad that he got axed at the time.
