UFC 109 Preview: Phillipe Nover Won't Be Fainting Anymore
"What happened that night, I was definitely prepared for the fight, I was in shape completely and I basically fainted. People said that I had a seizure or something, but that wasn’t the case. I saw a neurologist after I saw so many different doctors and they all said that I don’t suffer from seizures and I’m medically stable. You know, my cardiologist said my heart’s okay, my neurologist said everything’s okay."
"I had EEG, MRI, CAT scans; I got the whole work up done and it just came down to possibly the weight cut. It could be such a big stress on my body. You know I fainted before when I was cutting weight for the reality show and at the same time eating incorrectly afterwards. So I hooked up with a nutritionist, P.R. Cole, I’ve been working with her and she broke it down how I should replenish properly, the foods I should eat every hour and what nutrients I should put in, all the carbs, proteins and what time of day and everything. We really broke it down the right way and I can assure that won’t happen again."
