UFC 108 Results: Jim Miller Submits Duane Ludwig
Jim MIller came in to the fight against Duane 'Bang' Ludwig as a heavy favorite, and rightfully so. The New Jersey native has won four of his first five UFC matches with his only loss coming against top lightweight contender Gray Maynard. He has rebounded well by winning his next two bouts, and looked to take a victory over the very dangerous striker in Ludwig en route back to contendership.
The bout started with both men exchanged early, with Miller being content to stand with the taller and more experienced striker. Despite that reach disadvantage though, Miller was still able to land shots and including the hard left hook that dropped Ludwig. He then quickly followed him to the ground and transitioned from side mount, to mount, and as Ludwig tried to reverse, Jim Miller locked in the fight ending armbar.
The finish came at 2:31 of the very first round. Jim Miller has now won five out of his last six fights, and has catapulted himself back to lighweight relevancy.
People have been critical of UFC 108 card, but all these bouts have been very entertaining so far.
