UFC 108 Results: Paul Daley Blows Up Dustin Hazelett
Right as Joe Rogan gave Dustin Hazelett props for "doing well" in the standup, Paul "Semtex" Daley landed a bomb of a counter left hand that absolutely floored Hazelett. A short bit of ground 'n' pound later led to Herb Dean stepping in to end the fight.
While Hazelett impressed Rogan and Goldberg in the standup, the only highlight I saw was a Jushin Liger rolling koppo kick to start the fight. Hazelett inexplicably decided not to attempt to clinch or drag the fight to the floor, standing with the very dangerous Daley for the entirety of the two and a half minute bout.
Daley's lived up to his nickname since entering the UFC taking out two very solid welterweights in Martin Kampmann and Dustin Hazelett.

Really annoys me when skilled grapplers don’t even attempt the takedown, especially against someone like Daley.
Well done to Daley for not being an arse when interviewed.
He doesn’t have great wrestling and was justifiably afraid of Daley’s knees if he just dove in. I assume he was attempting keep Daley out of range, forcing Daley to rush in, which would then allow Dustin to more easily clinch and drag him to the ground than just shooting from across the arena. Not a terrible plan had he kept his hands up.

+1
I just know Kos would be dumb enough to stand with him and get his face rearanged.
It would be so awesome.
Nah, these wrestlers like kos and Evans are finally realizing what their strengths are.. I’m sure kos learned from the AJ fight that he’s not an elite striker, but is an elite wrestler… And knows to play to that strength.

Dustin did
hit Daley on the chin just before he was KO’d. I guess that’s the difference in power…
Use all ten points.

There needs to be a how not to punch for this actually
Hazelett and Daley threw pretty much the exact same sequence of punches, except that after throwing the right Daley immediately pulled it back to protect his chin while Dustin just let it hang out there and left his chin wide open.
Guillotine.
I’m already planning on that…and another praising the versatile combination game of Stout.

Somebody please gif the rolling tiger kick or whatever it was. I couldn’t afford to buy this PPV.
The path to my fixed purpose is laid with iron rails, whereon my soul is grooved to run. Towards thee I roll, thou all-destroying but unconquering BROCKLESNAR; to the last I grapple with thee.
Sadface...
Probably wouldn’t have helped, but Dustin really should have pulled his right hand back to protect his chin like Daley did.
Guillotine.
GSP is no fool.
It’s going to the ground.

@deowade
GSP won't have to bother
Doubt Daley makes it to GSP any time soon.
Daley will most likely never hold or even contend for the belt, but damn, it’ll be fun watching him try. Roughhouse is really establishing itself. I would like to see if Daley’s takedown d has improved. Imagine what he could do with a Liddell-esque sprawl (never happen I know, but a man can dream).
And NEW UFC Welterweight Champion of the World.....Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy!
thats the fight he asked for in the post presser
