Rousimar Palhares vs. Tomasz Drwal at UFC 111 in Newark
Both fighters have agreed to the match-up and are expected to turn in bout agreements this week.
Both men are coming off impressive wins in their most recent bouts. Palhares submitted fellow BJJ black belt Lucio Linhares with his trademark heel hook at UFC 107, while Drwal choked out Drew McFedries at UFC 103. Although despite that result, Drwal will probably want to avoid the ground at all costs with Toquinho, and instead take advantage of his significant advantage on the feet.
UFC 111 now includes:
Georges St. Pierre vs. Dan Hardy
Frank Mir vs. Shane Carwin
Jon Fitch vs. Thiago Alves
Ricardo Almeida vs. Matt Brown
Jim Miller vs. Mark Bocek
Kurt Pellegrino vs. Fabricio Camoes
Martin Kampmann vs. Ben Saunders
Rousimar Palhares vs. Tomasz Drwal
Matt Riddle vs. Ricardo Funch
Jared Hamman vs. Rodney Wallace

Palhares has one more fight to prove he deserves to fight for UFC.
After that, he might face a top middleweight and so be real tested by.
"Once Flamengo, Flamengo until die"
Palhares vs. Demian?
Anybody else really interested in seeing that?

That would be one bad kickboxing fight.

Seriously?
They aren’t wrestlers, they are submission artists who are both confident in their skills. Demian has learned not to stand after the Nate fight and Palhares can’t effectively close the distance when striking. Only time I can think of where two great jiujitsu players had a shitty fight like wrestleboxers do was Aoki-Shaolin.

Yep. Aoki - Shaolin
Or Bibiano – Imanari.
In both cases I was praying for a beatiful display of grappling and I got two of the most boring fights I’ve seen.

Yeah, I remember that well.
The general consensus was “Well, I guess Aoki’s improving his kickboxing… sorta… ugh. Whatever.”

Oh! It says "MANIAC" on his back.
At first glance I actually thought it said “NAMBLA”. Phew, that was weird.
"Stop smiling you are about to be punched in the face !"
I was just asking myself, “What the Hell happened to Drwal?”
Nice to see that he gets a more high-profile fight.
Now I just need an answer on Akiyama…
People already complain that Okami just dry-humps his opponents – imagine the incentive if he’s fighting Sexyama!
