From Dave Mandel of Sherdog
For the second fight in a row, the fighter who started out in deep trouble went on to win the fight, as Evan Dunham survived an early blitz from Efrain Escudero and went on to get the submission win.
Ultimate Fighter Season 8 winner Efrain Escudero came out in dominant fashion, pounding Evan Dunham with hard punches before going for a guillotine choke to finish the fight. But Dunham survived and found himself in top position to end the first round.
In the second, Dunham came out swinging and dictated the pace. He got a take down with two minutes left and rained down ground and pound. Then Escudero gave up his back and Dunham ended the round working for a rear naked choke.
The third round was the deciding round and Escudero went for a guillotine choke but Dunham escaped. Seconds later Dunham took Escudero down. From there it was all over as Dunham went through a sequence of submission attempts before forcing Escudero to submit with an arm bar.
Announcer Joe Rogan speculated that Escudero sustained a dislocated or broken arm.
