Yea, man
Kid needs a break to re-assess things. Injury + Divorce + 3 losses (one being a muay thai slaughter) = I need some time off.

do you think he can get back to form? the KO loss was so brutal and depressing… plus seeing him get dropped like that against kanehara just smashes my hopes.

Truthfully and sadly, no.
If he got his personal stuff in order, got with a really good camp, and stopped fucking around in K-1….Maybe, just maybe. Most importantly he needs to get his mind right. I think having his Olympic Dreams crushed is still weighing heavy on his mind.

Flyweight is 125 lbs.
Too small. I was surprised when this fight happened the weight difference was large. Kid weighed in around 135. Kanehara was more around 155. My friend pointed out during this fight how good Kid could be in the WEC at Bantamweight. Kid Yamamoto vs Brian Bowles any body??
Nooooooooo
Bowles has the power of a 155er and Miguel Torres is still El Cucuy (Inhuman Ghoul aka The Boogeyman). On top of that, the WEC has fighters like Damacio Page, Joseph Benavidez, Dominick Cruz, and Scott Jorgensen lurking around. That would be frying pan into the fryer.
