Roger Gracie Injured - Out of ADCC 2009 Super Fight Against Robert Drysdale:
"We were following Roger struggle to be part of the event for a while... The current superfight champion got mumps recently. The disease complicated and went down (if you know what I mean)."
"He fought against that, and after a couple of weeks of a compulsory rest tried to get back training anyways, but unfortunately twisted his knee badly in a way he won’t be able to heal in time for the event."
"ADCC officials are now considering other replacements."

Other than grabbing a possible Marcelo vs. Drysdale rematch I don’t see any other really interesting matches for the super fight for Drysdale.
We’ll see, they’ll get something; They have a few options.

I don’t blame the guy for bowing out of the fight after getting mumps on his junk. That’s like BJ getting kissed before the 2’nd GSP fight, or like Kenny getting his hat stolen. Also the whole fucked up knee thing has to do with it.
PS- to everyone dogging on Roger, some people are very injury prone (and it seems like Roger is one of them), and even if he never mounts a serious MMA career run, then he’s still one of the most dominant, talented grapplers ever
