I pray that Belfort wins. The UFC needs Belfort to win.

couldn't agree more

I’m hoping he’ll catch Rich quick with a string of jackhammer straight punches. Old Vitor style.

It sounds dumb to say that the UFC actually needs Belfort to win but it is the truth. They need a guy who has the stand-up ability of Belfort to possibly test Anderson Silva in a war. Fans don’t want to see Silva in a ground match, at least the casual fans don’t. A fighter with Belfort’s ability on the feet will challenge Silva’s technical superiority. While Marquardt and Henderson could test Silva in other places, they’ll be picked apart on the feet. Belfort would actually give the fans a fight that they want to see. Belfort is also a cult hero with hardcore UFC fans and that counts for a lot.

He’s not close to Anderson standing. it won’t be a war, it will be Anderson picking him apart all day while Vitor misses. People are seriously delusional about Vitor’s hands. The myth has far outpaced the reality.

There’s a reason he spars pretty even with guys like Forrest at Xtreme Couture. He’s a good striker, but not on the Anderson/Machida plane.

VITOR VITOR VITOR VITOR!!!! my favorite fighter of all time win lose or draw i will always love watching belforts fights… man i have a feeling even if he doesnt finish the fight with rich in the first or second he could still knock rich out in the third. ed soares recently said he think the longer it last the better chances rich has but i hope that proves to be wrong come the 19th

Ironically they moved Franklin out of 185 so he wouldn’t be a spoiler and kill contenders for Anderson, yet this year he may very well end up derailing Anderson’s 2 most marketable challengers: Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort.

All I know is Vitor signed with the UFC to duck Mousasi. He made a big deal about not wanting to fight at 195 but as soon as he’s with the UFC what does he do? He signs on to fight at 195. He’s ducking.
Man, is this ducking stuff is easy to write.
