Should the UFC move the Martin Kampmann fight to UFC 104?

That sounds like a good idea, I am just trying to think of what fight would be promoted to the main card on 103 if that happened. Maybe bump up Brian Foster to face Daley again?

so do we sacrifice 103 and possibly doing a lower buyrate than Mayweather to beef up 104, its an interesting problem

Come on, it’s not like Swick vs. Kampmann is gonna pull in an extra 200,000 buys.

Walla walla walla I'm an idiot.

Yeah, I don’t think anyones forking over $50 to see either Swick or Kampmann. That’s not a knock on the fight, I think its a great fight, but they aren’t exactly pay-per-view draws.

This shirt is "dry clean only", which means it's dirty.

yeah i know but a good countdown show emphasising the winner gets GSP could add decent numbers to a card

Everyone wants to fight hughes

yeah, but according to Hughes’ blogs hes just been out hunting and being an overall hick, he’s not even thinking about fighting right now, let alone for the next PPV.

Yes they should, it’s not like 103 doesn’t have enough fights.

Also, UFC 104 can use the help of a Swick vs Kampmann/Hughes fight. UFC 104 will be a return to L.A. and while my favorite fighter in Lyoto Machida is fighting, I don’t think that the UFC has really beefed up the card as much as they could. Machida vs Shogun is intriguing and Rothwell vs Velasquez is interesting, but these fighters are not exactly TOP draws for the company (Machida may be a draw). A third intriguing fight could really help that PPV.

I’m all for moving Kampmann vs. Swick to UFC 104 for a couple of reasons.

1. I think Daley has a good job of knocking Kampmann stiff and knocking the UFC’s plans for the welterweight division around a bit

and 2. If Swick vs. Kampmann is on UFC 104, I probably won’t have to see Gleison Tibau vs. Josh Neer.

This shirt is "dry clean only", which means it's dirty.

Does Koscheck even deserve a fight with Hughes?

for all intents and purposes, just consider all my posts as works of satire.

this fight should most def be moved to 104 especially since big names like sean sherk have been replaced, i really wanna see this number 1 contender fight in person since ill be attending ufc 104!

Whatever happens, they need to match Swick up with someone legit in order to build him up for a title shot. He is easily the most talented & marketable guy left at 170 that has yet to face GSP. While he’d definitely be a huge underdog versus the champ, I do think Quick poses some interesting problems with his length, striking & athleticism.

That’s a fight I’d like to see. Can Swick avoid the LNP or hopefully GNP by Hughes. It would be a fight that would say a lot about where both guys are at. I actually think a victory over Hughes carries more prestige than Kampmann anyway. If Kampmann doesn’t destroy Daley like Shields did, he stands a very very small chance against GSP.
I don’t think anyone wants to see Hughes-GSP again, but if Swick lands a vicious KO, that may be enough to sell him against GSP.
