Tampa Bay, FL -- The fighter formally known as Jon Koppenhaver, War Machine finished off late replacement Mikey Gomez with strikes just 19 seconds into the final round.

Following up on punch that appeared to poke Gomez in his right eye, War Machine turned to the referee after Gomez looked for a time out after the overhand right connected. With no referee intervention War Machine unloaded a barrage of uninterrupted punches on Gomez until the referee called the fight off.

Prospect Watch: Bruce Connors and Chris Barnett

Stock up: 29 year old Florida Swat Team Officer Bruce Connors improved his record to 7-1. Connors, known for his grappling aptitude, showcased his power in flooring Texas kick boxer Tim Snyder in the first round. The 145 pound Connors has the skill and the marketability to compete in the WEC or Strikeforce.  

His only career loss came in a five round title fight with fellow four star featherweight prospect Jarred Card.

Stock up: Heavyweight Chris Barnett is now 2-0 in his young MMA career. Barnett was the first winner of the XFC open fighter tryouts series, thus earning a spot on the Tampa promotion's last HDNet card.

The 23 year old big man came back against Daniel Perez after dropping the first round. Barnett has good power and speed for his size, but will need to continue to refine his striking game moving forward in his MMA career.
