Olympic Wrestler Daniel Cormier Signs With Strikeforce Daniel Cormier, the two-time Olympic wrestler and six-time senior national champion freestyle wrestler, will make his mixed martial arts debut on the September 25 Strikeforce Challengers card at the SpiritBank Events Center in Bixby, Okla. Strikeforce officials would not confirm nor deny Cormier's involvement on the upcoming card. As of Thursday, no opponent has been signed to face the MMA rookie. Cormier had a 117-10 record at Oklahoma State University. The 30-year-old finished fourth in the 2004 Olympic games in freestyle wrestling, but was forced to withdraw early from the 2008 Games after suffering from severe dehydration.
