Lil Nog makes UFC debut at 105 in England:
"Rogerio Nogueira (17-3) - a light-heavyweight fighter who fought for PRIDE FC in the past - is about to sign up with UFC and will debut on November 14th at UFC 105 in Manchester, England."
"Apparently the UFC also wants him to fight for the title as soon as possible."

so i guess only if Lyoto loses..
"Lyoto is a great friend of mine. I never thought on facing him. He is my personal friend and we have trained together a lot of times. He has been representing for Brazil very well and I don’t see myself fighting him. It’s hard to say I would fight him for the belt,"
That’s what the UFC needs: more non-contenders.

His signing is much more about what Strikeforce needs than what the UFC needs.
"I see him beating Anderson Silva. I see him picking him apart. Him at a 131 years old...(trails off)." - Tito Ortiz on Vitor Belfort at Affliction:DOR

I just don’t get it – a guy who won’t fight Machida or Anderson Silva that hasn’t had an impressive win in… 3 years? What’s the point?
And instead of making defensive moves like this, I think the UFC would do better to just pay the guys they have more – give fighters even more reason to want to sign with the UFC.

The point is that he’s awesome. What more reason could you need?

I guess I’ve just never seen the need for two Nogs.
Unless there was a sitcom: “My Two Nogs.” That would be awesome!

Main Event
I can see him in the main event but against who? Do you think they’d put him in there vs. Wanderlei?

he won't be the headliner..
this is the card going up against Pacquiao/Cotto.. and they surely won’t put a relatively weak main event for that..

oh boy
Id take a UFC event over Maywether/JMM but not over Pacquiao/Cotto. Dana needs to pick and choose his battles and this is one he should not get involved in. Especially seeing how the cards in england dont do well.
Dont get down on Forrest, no one has moves like Anderson Silva.
I believe after the franklin bout wanderlei was in the process of stepping down to middleweight.

Possibly if the UFC doesn’t feel like giving Dan Handerson a rematch against Anderson Silva and moves forward with Nate Marquardt..
Hendo-Lil Nog 2 could be a very good match up. I also vote for Cane-Lil Nog.
These are the fights I’m interested in too. Especially Cane. A Rogerio victory there helps to remove the taint of the Sokodjou loss.
They’re probably planning to give him a tough fight if there’s already talk of fighting for the title soon (though Lyoto being from Black House will be a stumbling block). Aside from Vladimir Matyshenko, Rogerio’s level of competition hasn’t been terribly impressive lately (Edwin Dewees, Dion Staring, Moise Rimbon… yeah).
Oh wait, i forgot, Vera also trained at Black House,
so i don’t know if he’d be that happy to fight Rogerio, since his brother has helped him out a lot recently..
but of course if they pay enough, then Vera would fight him..

how did this go from immediate title shot to fighting jon jones?
Dont get down on Forrest, no one has moves like Anderson Silva.
Luiz Cane vs. Thiago Silva
Lil Nog vs. Brandon Vera

still think its completely ridiculous if lyoto and anderson wont fight each other or anderson/lyoto wont fight lil nog. vitor belfort used to be a solid member of black house not too long ago why does anderson not care to fight him? just because they are not as close of friends as him and the rest of black house? no doubt they sparred so why the picking and choosing … i really wanna see lil nog/anderson/vitor/lyoto all get throw some leather at each other with out all the bitching
he was however part of BTT with lil’ nog and big nog, arona, etc. maybe you confused the two? anderson was never part of BTT though…
There was a time when Belfort trained at Black House, he also trained with Machida before Evans fight… but yeah, he isn’t a member of BH……..however he told Tatame that he wouldn’t like to fight Anderson because he likes him, but who knows…….

I wasn’t aware that he trained with them recently. But I have seen an interview not that long ago about him not being mad about the thing andy has said about him and that he’d like to face him eventually. Perhaps andy’s quote has changed his mind then…
i can’t find the interview in which he stated that he would rather not fight Anderson, but I’m pretty sure I’m not delusional and did read it somewhere …

oh no
I’m not implying that you are wrong, I’m pretty sure you are correct, but maybe this interview was before andy was saying nasty things about vitor, and the interview that I saw was after the fact. So I’m sure we’re both right, just different time places :P
Cool, I wasn’t implying that you were implying that I was wrong :) I was just pretty sure I read this interview on Tatame, when it’s no there, at least not complete. The complete version was right under my nose on BloodyElbow: “I’m an employee, he’s an employee too, we can’t pick up fights. Of course that’s a fight I wouldn’t like to do too, I like him a lot, no matter what he says”, explains Vitor.

ahh your right i did actually confuse the old BTT team with BH in that last statement but who ever mentioned it above me that vitor has trained with lyoto recently atleast in the last year and (some) of the guys at BH is correct. but yeah we know they all know each other maybe some on better terms than others but i know vitor is friends with rogerio and lyoto and i hope that would never stop him from fighting either of them vice versa. about the whole anderson thing i HOPE pray lol that vitor KOs him
He'd clown Forrest
Little Nog vs. Thiago Silva
Little Nog vs. Luis Cane
Little Nog vs. Brandon Vera
Little Nog vs. Jon Jones
I’d have even gone for Little Nog vs. Rich Franklin

You base this on his recent victory over…. Dion Staring? Who the fuck is Dion Staring?

No
I base this on his entire record. Let us not forget that he starched The Janitor before Dion Staring.
