We’re assuming that you are the next person to face [Strikeforce Women's Champion Cristiane] Cyborg in Strikeforce?
Yes that is correct.
Do you have a date or an idea of when that fight is going to be possibly?
Well I think that it can be in November already, it’s not finite yet, so I cannot really say that it is, but there is a big chance, haha.

Wow those look like devastating kicks….
for all intents and purposes, just consider all my posts as works of satire.
Nah, she's winding up
for the world’s most devastating foot stomp.

Marloes has been considered one of the top female fighters in the world for a long time now, I guess she’s just had trouble finding fights the past few years. She was actually supposed to fight Cyborg in February, but then Cyborg signed on with Strikeforce.

THIS!
Plus, people should watch the fight against Dandois (which Strikeforce also signed ) before they comment.

Mega Megu vs Cyborg or GTFO.

People keep saying this...
Do you want Megu to die or something?

I want to see the two best women fighters in the world fight. Clearly the size difference is a disadvantage to Megu but the think it would still be a competitive match.

I think Cyborg would maul her.
It would look like Cyborg versus Baszler. Megumi wouldn’t be able to get the big monster to the ground and would get overwhelmed with strikes.
More like Cyborg/Akano, but even worse.

Mega Megu is the female Kid Yamamoto
No matter how many times people point out that she hasn’t fought anyone worth a damn in ages, her fans continue to insist that she is an unstoppable juggernaut. Megumi is incredibly talented, but she has been living off her reputation and smashing scrubs for quite a while now. Her recent opponents have been a joke.
Hillary Williams was the first legit opponent she has faced in quite some time and Hillary choked her ass out.
I failed to add in the above.
Megumi, like Kid, is a fantastically talented fighter who has some great wins on her record. But MMA is a rapidly evolving sport. Just because someone was unstoppable a few years ago does not mean they are still unstoppable.
When fighters take a vacation from fighting legit competition, they often get a rude awakening when they jump back in the ring with a real threat. Kid got a wake up call versus Joe Warren, and Megumi just got her wake up call versus Killary.
Just to clarify this, I did not state nor do i feel that Megu is unstoppable, and perhaps you are correct that she has been feeding on some sub par talent and getting by on her rep but the only real way to know who the best women fighters are in the world is to make em fight.
Also while Hilary’s win was impressive, ADCC does not equal MMA.

ADCC is not MMA, but Megumi’s bread and butter is her grappling and she just got choked out by a purple belt.
Also, I’m all for Megumi facing the best fighters in the world, but let’s keep it real and not put her up against women who carry 50% more body mass than she does. There are plenty of great fighters at 125 for her to fight. One in particular that comes to mind is Tara LaRosa.
Taking out striking from her while is not her best attribute still does have a impact.
Putting her against Cyborg would remind me of the B.J/Machida fight, If she lost it would not be to be deal since she was at a considerable disadvantage but if she won then it would take her legend status to a Whole Nuva Level.
I gotta say, Megu vs LaRosa has a nice ring to it. As does Matsumoto and perhaps Watanabe.

Megu versus Matsumoto/Watanabe would be almost as lopsided (in terms of size) as Cyborg versus Megu. Fujii is not a 114 pounder anymore. She has put on a ton of mass and is now a legit 125 pounder. Matsumoto & Watanabe are both great fighters, but they are tiny (& Watanabe is retired anyway). Fujii would hulk smash those little 106 pounders.
I’m sure they could work out a catchweight fight, as Matsumoto has stated that after her Sunaba fight that she would like to fight Megu.
Watanabe has also stated that she will be returning to MMA later this year after she went against Megu in a exhibition match in August.
