The Ultimate Fighter 10: The Aftermath - Episode 2

Wes Shivers - "I feel like, if I had a little more gas in my tank to push the pace a little better I could have swayed the decision in my favour. My game plan going into the fight I felt was pretty good. Keep the pressure on him, not let him throw his kicks. And the more tired I got, the more I got away from my game plan."
... "After 15-20 kicks, my leg was pretty traumatized. Throbbing.... It took me 4 or 5 days after the fight until I could actually function and walk again."

Thanks to McSweeney’s choice of attire, the MEAN 1 clothing line has doubled its fanbase!
To 2.
150% more Ultimate than the leading competitor.

haha
There’s a guy at the Buffalo Wild Wings I go to for every UFC and he’s always wearing the same MEAN 1 shirt and I can’t stop laughing at him. So I guess that makes it a fanbase of 3.

Hmmm a little more in the gas tank, what is up with these guys? They come into the biggest opportunity of their lives and they stand there with their hands on their knees panting. I dont get it, to me it looks like they dont want it, dont care or just plain didnt train. I just think there are hundreds of other guys out there that want this opportunity that wouldnt look like crap and would come in with great cardio, not looking like they havent trained since their days in the nfl.
But to be honest are you really that suprised that some of these really big guys are gassing so quickly? Some guys are more athletic than others, and not everyone who weighs 280lbs can carry the weight like Brock Lesnar. On every season of TUF guys gas quickly, and because they’re so big this series its just accelerating the process
Have I mentioned how much Amir is growing on me lately?
No? LOTS.
Don't believe a word I say, I don't train BJJ.

Really? How so? I don’t feel like he’s showing up for these things.

The guy just has no ego – he’s not trying to make the show about him and he gets out of the way of the panelists to let them answer questions. And yet he still has that signature Amir wit – the leg kick thing was beautiful. He’s dry, but he’s funny.

I was in the same 6th grade class with him, and he didn’t have an ego then either. He was pretty quiet and easy to get along with. He went to the same high school too, but we didn’t have any classes together.
I’m not asking for him to act anything like Bas Rutten, but I think he could act a little bit more enthusiastic. Maybe smile some more? I just want him to stay on Spike’s payroll, that’s all.

I dunno if I’d go that far, but Amir is funny without being a buffoon, which is how a lot of fighters come off, Bas, sadly, included.

What schools? I grew up in the Richmond area.
A man should never waste an opportunity to keep his mouth shut.
Skipwith Elementary, Short Pump Middle, and Tucker HS. Amir went to the latter two.
