Darren Aronofsky (The Wrestler) Developing Thriller Based on Lee Murray's Infamous Heist
At least six men were part of the heist, which was thought to be masterminded by UFC competitor "Lightning" Lee Murray. "The story is a very unique British heist tale with colorful London characters. I've always wanted to shoot in England and Kerry is the perfect writer to bring authenticity to this outrageous true bank job," said Aronofsky. Originally, the film was also going to focus on Murray's life.
It was only a matter of time. I love heist flicks, so I am pretty damn excited for this.

FUCK YES
I remember the convo I had with people here on BE about how this needed to be a movie. Good director for it as well.

Darren Aronofsky also directed Pi, Requiem for a Dream, and The Fountain.
This should be fascinating, though I dislike his trend towards normal films – bring back the weirdness!

Hopefully this will turn out good.
I actually loved the documentary done on this. It was really good.
Arguing on the internet is like being in the special olympics, even when you win you are still retarded.
yeah, i was wikipedia-surfing last nite and read this, i guess it was just posted. the Lee Murray story is amazing to no end—you’d really have to fuck this up to make it bad (which seems to happen often with heist movies, i.e. Ocean’s Twelve, Heist, Entrapment, etc…)
We're just a million little gods causin' rain storms, turning every good thing to rust.

![Lee Murray's freedom was short-lived. The ex-UFC fighter who is one of the most wanted men in the UK for allegedly masterminding a $92 million cash depot heist in Tonbridge, has been re-arrested in Morocco following the hearing that refused his extradition.
"Lee was indeed rearrested right away, because the British Authorities did put [in] a formal request to the Moroccan Authorities to have him tried in Morocco for the alleged robbery," his attorney Abdellah Benlamhidi told FanHouse via email.
