He is far from the brightest star in the sky, but he will beat BJ by craziness.

Diego is crazy,
but I dont think that BJ is too far behind him in that category. And Sanches has no chance of beating him anyway unless he is all hopped up on Stevia.

sanchez will have a size edge on BJ
being as he’s a true welterweight
but BJ should have the speed and skill to over come it.

I also think that
Diego’s seeming lack of finishing power in his hands can be troublesome for him, because BJ will do everything in his power to force the fight into the pocket, where I think BJ has a power and speed advantage.
But Diego is doing 1 thing right… and that’s training wrestling. If he wants to beat Penn, he’s gonna have to outstrike him on the feet, or put him on his back, and stay away from his submissions (a tall order). Sanchez is a live underdog though, and he is a good deal bigger than Baby Jay.

Everyone has a lack of finishing power
against Clay Guida

Submissions?
I know BJ has some serious jitz, but in MMA all I’ve ever seen is one triangle and a RNC, which is more a G&P finish than BJJ in this sport. At this point I don’t think he represents a threat off his back, but I’d love to be proven wrong.
by sacterre on Sep 22, 2009 8:02 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
People see the RNC coming, and they still get caught in it.
They train to defend it…and they still fail.
That’s impressive.

i.e. Florian with a black belt in BJJ dropping his hands to fend off the heels to the stomach by Penn, only to surrender his neck.

Ok, he will have a size advantage.
Then what? What does Diego do that will threaten BJ? I think Diego could possibly be a great fighter someday with the ridiculous pace he is able to keep. But until he gets really good at one thing he will have a real hard time against top flight competition.

Cardio.
Sanchez has never been finished. His only two losses were via decision.
BJ will gas at the three minute mark, and having been unable to finish Diego, BJ will lose. He will not have an answer to Diego’s crazy rantings and fisticuffs.
I predict — ok BJs probably going to win, but Diego has a really good chance.

Ok cardio & size.
Then what? Will he outstrike BJ to outpoint him in a decision? Will he go for several close subs? I kind of relate Diego to Bisping in that neither one of them have a way to finish a fight & have to rely on a decision which is never a good thing to bank on. I say BJ stuns him with strikes, takes his back & chants YUS YUS YUS while choking him out.

If he catches BJ with some of the strikes he caught Guida with, BJ could be sleeping.

Doubt that he will catch BJ
shooting in with a headkick like he did Guida.

Until he gets knockdowned or even rocked….I won’t count on anyone putting BJ to sleep.

Bisping only has two decision wins in his career. He has 5 TKOs in the UFC. Sanchez also has 5 UFC wins via strikes. I don’t think it’s accurate to say they have to rely on decisions.

His sauna water is half water
and half

That’s why he’s able to make such a massive cut, because the stevia cold fissions all the water and fat out of his body. W/ the help of Jesus and Dan Quinn, of course

those last 2 pounds i was in the sauna holding saulos hand praying for god to take the weight off
Man what a weird image.

As long as it was only Saulos hand I guess.
Anyway I think this is going to be a great fight. Sanchez is crazy enough to make Penn really work for the win, plus I’m hoping the walkout is as awesome as the vs Guida fight. The walkout alone was worth the price of admission.

Off topic… Any body find it interesting that when ever the Diego vs Florian fight is mentioned around Florian he reverts back to “I was very out of shape and fat back then” weird? I mean he was in the finals of TUF but he was out of shape? I think now a days that the fight between Kenny and Diego would be much more exciting but I still think that Diego would win although I foresee Diego losing to BJ. Who knows though. I could be so wrong and Kenny could get a submission but imo i dont see him being able to beat Diego or BJ in a rematch. Sherk maybe, but again who knows.

this is going to be a helluva a fight
BJ isn’t invinceable. Diego wil be able to keep an intense pace the whole fight and will have the strength advantage. I went with a small play on Kenny last time cause I liked the odds and will prob take the dog again on this one cause I think his boxing and chin are on par with BJ and he will have an advantage in strength and wrestling.

Current mood: eccentric
last night i realized how amazing ice cream is!!!!
but i cant eat it very often its super acidic and full of fat and sugar gross and great at the same time.
thru all my crazy strict diets i found out that you must do your best but still take it with a grain of salt.
because its all good when you have amazing genetics, like me haha….
Amazing genetics lies within all of us it is our job to release what our ancestors and god have blessed us with. CHAVEZ/SANCHEZ CONQUISTADOR genes are what fuels me to be the best fighter in the world.

I’m willing to bet money his “Current mood” is ALWAYS eccentric.

i can see diego eventually retiring and becoming some crazy preacher
by ldglass on Sep 22, 2009 4:21 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I can see him getting an ass-whooping from BJ
He’ll be bigger and can put up a furious pace, but that recklessness he rushes in with will be his un-doing against the chin and boxing of Penn. He’s also not the wrestler that GSP is (not even close), and GSP had to gas Penn before taking him down. Diego’s in for a short, disappointing night.
